I would prefer if bills posted in Talossan were strongly suggested to be posted in a both languages, not mandated.
I agree with Capt. T.M. (gasp) ... I don't want to see "goo legislation get stuck in the hopper" ...ahem... because of translation problems.

This is a sense of the Ziu kind of act. For this to have power over future bills, it would really have to be in the OrgLaw. Translating is not NECESSARY. But, instead, strongly suggested.

The Capt. T.M Asmourescu is Way Cooler than Capt. Mick Preston Act
WHEREAS Capt. T.M. Asmourescu is intrinsically cool and awesome (despite misspelling "good" previously)
WHEREAS Capt. Mick Preston is cooler than most Roy Orbison impersonators, I guess
WHEREAS all things identical to Capt. T.M. Asmourescu are things that are cooler than Capt. Mick Preston it
THEREFORE necessarily follows that, despite the fallacious ad hominem assaults launched by Capt. Preston, Capt Asmourescu is the superior Officer and logician.

Given the less than mandatory wording, I have no opposition to the bill.

Capitan, the translation is a highly recommended but still voluntary matter. It seems unlikely it will impede anything, but rather only help encourage the use of our national language.

Indeed, as long as the bill makes it voluntary (however strongly preferred) and not mandatory, I see no reason it would impede the legislative process.
The issue was would the bill impose a language requirement that some legislators would have difficulty surmounting. As the bill does not mandate the translation, I have no objection to this bill as it will not exclude legislators who are not fluent in Talossan.

So, this is a bill that does not mandate anything???
It's more of a suggestion, not a Law ... right?

Now it's passed, when does el Regeu start signing them? Probably as soon as he gets around to signing THIS law. Organically, he has to either sign or veto each bill by the end of the month. If he fails to do either, the bills are considered signed. But I'm sure he'll sign 'em.
