Is there anything about Talossa you want to keep as is? I quite like this legislation, and think it's a good idea. Yes, MC Gavartich submits a great many bills that are of questionable value, but my pa always told me that "even a stopped clock is right twice a day." This bill will help build our palpable history and introduce everyday use of our language, without hurting anyone. Well, once it is amended, anyway.

uh... maybe because if you just have something that looks like this:
6RC17 - The Bob Murphy Title Act Whereas, Bob Murphy doth want some sort of pompous sounding title, and I can see no reason why in a country like Talossa he shouldn't have one, therefore the Cosâ acceeds to his wishes and grants upon Bob Murphy the title "Earl of Kenwood".
Proposed by: Robert Madison (PC-Vuode)
It doesn't really look too bill like, does it? Nor too professional.
EDIT: Why do you have a coat of arms, it's an unnecessary frill! Or hey! How bout why do we even have a crown for the King? Couldn't he just use a paper hat or something (well... maybe that's a bad example because I could totally see that happening)?

Additionally, I would think it extremely important that we rebuild our (now gone) national archives.

In point of fact, this would be a return to traditional Talossan presentation of laws. Earlier Clarks were presented with seals and pretty stuff more along the lines of the example Dreu provided, rather than a few paragraphs of text. It's more impressive and cool, and that is not something to take lightly.

Ya know, Dreu-
All I asked was why you liked one over the other.

Ah... sorry... I guess I went a little overboard.

I see Dreu's point, however, and I think with some tweaking, this could be an interesting change. Naturally, I think we would want our sovereign monarch to weigh in, if he offers a resounding "Heck no!" to the notion of signing the bills, I wouldn't want to be the guy who tried to force his hand.
Looks like it provokes enough thought for us to vote on it though.

I would certainly have no objection to signing paper copies of Bills. Whether it's a good plan, I express no opinion. :-)

What kind of tweaking were you thinking of?

I believe this bill stands good as is, personally. Even if the King is at a personal disposition not to pass it, he must if the resounding cry of the people is.

Well, for starters, who gets the unpleasant task of translation if the proposing MC is not as fluent as they would like to be?
If we say "Tough noogies, figure it out" then we are impeding the legislative process. If we say "Translator Steve will do it" then we are making a person (or persons) put in extra work. Extra work which, if their jobs interfere with the performance of, bills could get snagged.
I just don't want to see good legislation get stuck in the hopper because no one has time to translate it.
