Sir Tomás Gariçéir, sole member of l'Urderi dal Glhimba Purpül, recently called for the rescission of the CÚG's recently-approved Arestada. Sir Tomás appears to feel that the reforms contained in the Arestada represent too great a departure from Talossan tradition. We don't have much to go on yet, but he plans to provide us with a point by point response to the Arestada as time allows. I look forward to reading what he has to say with an open mind.

The wisdom of Sir Tomás is indeed a fount from which the Comità tried unsuccessfully to draw during its preparation of the Arestada. Unfortunately, Sir Tomás did not contribute any comments as the topics of the Arestada were considered. In point of fact, it was the feeling of the Comità that a great many of the points in the Arestada were implementations of ideas and proposals that had been made by Sir Tomás himself, in the past.
I, too, look greatly forward to the long-hoped-for comments of Sir Tomás. As the most fluent speaker of the language around, his opinions are more than valuable. I can understand how some of the changes made by the Arestada (the change to the plural ending of words ending in -an from -ans to -aes, for example) might be a bit jarring to someone who actually has been using the -ans plural in speech.
The Comità will do its best to provide Sir Tomás with any and all documentation on the research that supported each proposal in the Arestada, so that he can make the best possible comments on it. The Comità thanks Sir Tomás in advance for this valuable service to our language.
