I'm still hoping to hear from others, and maybe this reminder from you will prompt more responses. You note that your past subjunctive form is similar to that in French, Italian, and Occitan. But the past subjunctive is pretty much dead in spoken French, and probably dying in written French (I can't speak to its use in the other languages). So why does Talossan really need a new form? For example in Italian it isn't. ün promptamaintsch: l'Angleasca tent presca perdat thou/thy/thee; ça c'è'n raziun per pierdarh tù? és Well, not much more but obvioulsy more complicated from an english point of view than before. Of course as Romance speaker from my point of view this system is easier, and honestly more natural for a language so romance as el glheþ. The actual system is so unnatural and dissonant, making the language more a "romance deguise" for english, than a language in itself. There are many influences of english, and I'm persuaded that they should remain, but this is so an important characteristic of romance genitics... Very good points. I think you're winning me over. I would like to hear the thoughts of others though. So I hope more people speak up here!
