The centuries old practice of churches providing sanctuary to those in need is now under threat in Canada and other places around the world. I will be proposing legislation on the next Clark to support this right and guarantee its protection to places of worship in Talossa.

I have submitted my Church Sanctuary Protection Bill for this month's Clark. As you are all aware, churches have provided sanctuary to refugees and the falsely accused for centuries- this is an option for those people who are in desperate need.
Recently, some Western nations (namely Canada) have threatened to no longer respect the ancient practice of sanctuary. If a nation such as Canada or the United States decides to no longer recognize church sanctuary, then a dangerous message will be sent to other nations around the world where human rights are violated. In many parts of the world, sanctuary is used quite frequently to protect the lives of the innocent, democracies need to continue to recognize sanctuary in order to safeguard the lives of others who are not so fortunate to live in a free nation.
I would urge all members of the Ziu to please vote per on my Church Sanctuary bill. Thank you.
For your information, here is the text of the bill:
Whereas, churches have provided protection and sanctuary to refugees and the falsely accused for centuries; and
Whereas, this right of sanctuary is now under attack in some Western nations, thus setting a dangerous example for the rest of the world;
Therefore the Ziu hereby recognizes the historic right of churches and other religious organizations to offer sanctuary to individuals in dire need.

You would have seats in the Cosa, which is a part of the Ziu (composed of both the Cosa and the Senats). So you can go ahead and vote on this bill and the Vote of Confidence (VOC) which is a vote on whether you want the current government to remain in power or not. Sometimes things can get confusing, so ask anytime you have a question!
