Fellow Talossans,
I come before you to announce the celebration of the first anniversary of the commencement of the reign of John, our sovereign lord and leige.
The first year of His Majesty's reign has been a successful one for his realm, seeing population growth, a resurgence in the expression of our national traditions, a flowering of the culture we have enjoyed since the founding, progress in government and legislation, and a constancy of brother (and sister)hood among the loyal subjects of the King.
God Save the Kingdom of Talossa, and God Save its Well-Beloved King!
I invite all Talossans to join me on this thread in celebration of this auspicious day, with your thoughts on the reign we are under, and to offer with me the best of wishes to His Majesty.
Three cheers for the King of Talossa on this, his Ascension Day.
Long Live the King!
Hooligan Seneschal

¡Ouçà! This is the longest that any non-Ben monarch has actually reigned (i.e. not counting minors represented by regents) in Talossa. And what a year it's been.
¡Sa vivadra el Regeu!

Three cheers for the king! Hip hip huzzah! Hip hip huzzah! Hip hip HUZZAH!
It is hard to believe the year has passed so swiftly, not only because it means King John has reigned for a year, but because it means my brother and I have been citizens for over two years.
Much has indeed been done, and yet there is much more to be done, as there always will be. We are still a young nation. We have still to attain a strong and flourishing culture that shall last through the years and decades to come. This is not an unrealistic ideal, but one in which each and every citizen may have a part.
Now I offer a song from last year in commemoration of the event as we celebrate this day (with an additional verse).
Nic Casálmac'h Minister of Culture
Vivadra el Regeu
Un vür zilêct urca al þroneu, Els popuis prediçar és server. Noi celebratent cün aleretzâ Cáir oxhi noi tienent un regeu.

Long Live the King
A beloved man ascends the throne, To rule and to serve the people. We celebrate with joy For today we have a king.
The chorus: Long live the King! Long live the King! Our beloved King John! Long live the King!
We will eagerly await The speech from the throne, which We will hear in the early morning With joy and celebration.
Long live the King! Long live the King! Our beloved King John! Long live the King!
The year passed very quickly Under his good and benevolent rule. The nation grew and flourished. Therefore we celebrate this day.

King John is to be warmly congratulated on his glorious reign and on the rising population of Talossa. HM King John has done what few other monarchs has accomplished. He has avoided negative publicity, scandal and he hasn't upset the Archbishop of Canterbury. Well done Your Majesty. Will there be a right regal photograph on the offical site to commemorate the event?
