Azul!
The art gallery in Europe that is doing an exhibit this fall including Talossan art, heraldry, and books, is going to produce a CD to promote the exhibit. The gallery director informs me that the local cathedral choir will be recording some choral pieces for the CD, and have asked me to send them the words and music for "Stand Tall, Talossans," so they can have a choir sing our national anthem and record it on the CD!
My first reaction was "Thank God, we can take my voice off the website and replace it with people who can actually sing."
I'll update you on this as it develops. We still have no sheet music but they told me that I can just sing the anthem onto a cassette tape and send them the words (that part is already done) and they'll handle it from there.
The gallery was so impressed by the early volumes of Stotanneu that I sent them, they are arranging for a special room where members of the public can page through those early volumes. This is going to be a lot of fun.
I have also mailed along a hundred copies of a brochure advertising Talossa, which they have agreed to make available to the public visiting the gallery. Hopefully, we can get some citizens out of the resulting publicity.

This is amazing and exciting news. Do you know if copies of the CD will be available for purchase?

This is what I heard today. There are going to be three versions of the Talossan national anthem: Two of them sung a capella by me (one in English, the other in Talossan) and a third version, performed by the university choir. Two of those versions will make the "final cut" on the CD. Most likely, they will be the two versions I sang. HOWEVER: The curator promises me that he will make a copy of the choir version available to me on a personal CD. I presume (I will double check this) that I will have legal rights to make copies for all of you. Keep watching this space... Ben
