We, John, by the Grace of God King of Talossa and all its realms and regions, King of Cézembre, etc., etc., pursuant to Article XV of the Organic Law, and authorised by the two Houses of the Ziu and by the suffrages of the people, do proclaim that the Organic Law of the Kingdom of Talossa is hereby amended by the adoption of The Seat Security for Legislators Named Temporary Regents Amendment (37RZ9), The Finish the Finnish Act (37RZ10), The Standing on His Own Legs Amendment (37RZ11), The Provincial Government Unshackling Act (37RZ15), The Tim Act (Home Improvement Part 1) (37RZ16), and The Al Act (Home Improvement Act Part Two) (37RZ17). Furthermore, we request and require that our trusty Scribe of Abbavilla do amend the online text of the Organic Law in accordance with these Amendments, while taking care that the unamended text also be made available. And we would be grateful to anyone who, possessed of sufficient skill and cunning, could modify the various graphic versions of the Great Seal to include the corrected text of the national motto. And we observe, and draw the attention of anyone interested to the fact, that by the ratification and proclamation of 37RZ16, the House Law of 11 February 1989 and The Royal Succession Act (25RZ37) have been and are repealed. Done by our hand royal at our palace in Centennial, Colorado, this 18th day of January, being the Feast of Saint Prisca martyr, in the year of salvation 2008, of the independence of Talossa the 29th, and of our reign the 1st. — John R

Good King John. One can only wonder whether the Finish the Finnish Act implies a change to the actual national arms themselves. My first instinct would be to say yes, but on further investigation, other people beg to differ. Your comments?

Good King John. One can only wonder whether the Finish the Finnish Act implies a change to the actual national arms themselves. My first instinct would be to say yes, but on further investigation, other people beg to differ. Your comments? Certainly. The Finish the Finnish Act amended both section 8 and section 10 of Article II. Therefore the greater state arms are legally defined as the Lesser State Arms with the following supporters and base: "Two Talossan Squirrels Proper standing upon a Ribbon Argent fimbriated at the chief Vert and at the base Gules bearing the motto 'Miehen Huone on Hänen Valtakuntansa'". The existing image is now out of date.

How far back does the old mis-spelling go, anyway?

Back to 26 December 1979, I think, or even earlier. At least to the first several days of the nation. Ár Päts Part 1 acknowledges that Ben had translated the motto into "slightly botched Finnish," in the context of discussing his preparations for Independence Day.
