One disappointing thing about Talossa is that "Reunision" didn't really overcome the great Talossan divide into a monarchist and a republican faction; apparently this division lingers on, absorbing a lot of the fun that a truly united, pacified Talossa could be.
IMHO, the basic Peculiarist belief is that Talossa is so unique that we don't have to imitate other nations. Let them do theirs, we'll do ours. Insomuch I'm a bit disappointed by seeing that the return of Peculiarism is kind of mirroring the overall state of our nationette, coming in a monarchist and a republican version. Who, if not Peculiarists of all fashions, could and should be eager to find a way to overcome the big Talossan divide by finding and offering something new? What about a double head of the state, a ceremonial monarch and a political president? Or an eternallly empty throne at the helm of the nationette, symbolising our fightful history and the eventually gained absolute, democratic power of the people? Peculiarists, use your phantasy, creativity, peculiarity to get over the one thing that is draining Talossa ever since the troubled days that led to the big split.
Or something.

Peculiarists, use your phantasy, creativity, peculiarity to get over the one thing that is draining Talossa ever since the troubled days that led to the big split. Or something. While I can sympathise with the general thrust behind what you've said here, I have to disagree with the notion that Monarchists versus Republicans is bad. I disagree that MvsR is a great divide or something lingering that should be overcome. In a healthy democracy there will always be differences of ideology and opinion, and it should be that way. I do hope to see a Peculiarist Alliance forming in the future, though. As time goes by, I hope that the Peculiarist factions can negotiate concessions and compromises so we can represent the greater Peculiarist caucus on common ground. In the meantime, I think it's entirely appropriate to campaign separately on our individual manifestos during general elections. After all this particular election sees quite a shifting of the political landscape. The pundits are in the area of guesswork and estimates this time around. This election serves as a recalibration. As a final thought, the essence of Peculiarism, that Talossa is something unique and "blob", will inevitably mean all Peculiarists will have different ideas. It's a case of the old 'ask 10 Peculiarists, get 15 opinions'.

Do we not already have what you call a “double head of state”?
Incidentally, take a look at Andorra, which does something quite dystopian-peculiarist: it has two heads of state – one secular, and one religious –, neither of which its populace elects. Actually, one of which is elected by the populace of ANOTHER country.

Very close to the PNP manifesto: Ceremonial Crown alongside an elected Seneschal.
