The Great Wittenberg XI Archiving St. Patrick's Fortnight: 1-16 March 2019GOAL: To have archived to .png and .jpg Wittenberg Threads 00001-13000. (Threads 00001-03000 are either finished or will be taken care of GV.) METHOD: Chrome FireShot on the Google Chrome browser DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS: SIGN-UP SHEET: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18Y5AbxCInoPWsEvJ1cKvXkWutum2pV1oc3GnuwdBIfU/edit#gid=424500292 GET THE GOOGLE CHROME FireShot Plug-in: chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/take-webpage-screenshots/mcbpblocgmgfnpjjppndjkmgjaogfceg?hl=enChrome FireShot Filename template: %u %t %d %m %y %H %M %S Upload to DropBox: www.dropbox.com/sh/vq18x8sfhodf5tq/AADsGBXxF1L_2C2DHU8kwIIxa?dl=0CONTRARY TO THE VIDEO: I will need archives in .jpg as well, after all. Yes, this doubles our workload, but I want our precious Wittenberg XI archives in as many formats as is practical. This project is in partial fulfillment of the goals of the 42 Project and is part of the Big, Huge 1 February 2019 call-for-help I have advertised previously. Additionally, there is a slight possibility of my landing a full-time job (not teaching anything, alas). I want at least 21 people to sign up for at least 4-5 groups of 100 threads per the sign-up GoogleDoc above. The more people we have, the easier and easier this project is on everyone. Looking back through Witt, it turns out I have talked about this project for at least ten years. I am as jazzed as all-get-out this will soon get done. Again, .jpg as well as .pdf and .png, please! MANY, MANY THANKS!! Yes, you may get started before 1 March. :-) GV, Royal Archivist, etc.

I am jazzed as all-get-out to get this project into your hands. I promised big, huge calls for help on or by 1 February. This fulfills that promise, in part, though I will not be able to get to the other big project for which I will need help just yet.
Once the Fortnight is done on 16 March, I will be able to get to you by 1 April a detailed description of what the Great Clarkives Project 2019 will entail. That thing will take far longer than two weeks, and it will probably extend for a month or two, depending on how many people I can get to help with that.
What I can tell you, however, is that project will involved archiving primary-source documents for every Clark with its primary sources online as well as Cosâ election results and Senäts election results. It may be that government formations will also be in the mix, and for sure, extant Cosâ dissolutions will be in the offing as well, though many of those were never effected by any action. They simply came to be of their own accord.
For now, it's all about the Fortnight and getting Wittenberg XI archived up to Thread 13000 in .pdf, .jpg, and .png Beyond thread 13000, I can keep up with Witt on my own and eventually delegate permanent help with that. And again, Witt XI threads through 03000 have been worked on, though I have not yet gotten .jpg files for those, and probably never will. The earliest Witt XI threads have been archived numerous times over the years.
I look forward to seeing lots of names signing up on the GoogleDoc linked above. I am not great at giving clarity to such things, and if you have any questions at all, please PM me or email me at jeffrags atttttttttt gmail dottttttttttt com.
Thanks, all!
GV, RArchivist, etc.

Crickets...
It's been almost a week, and no-one has yet signed up for Witt archiving on the above Sign-Up Sheet.
Clearly, my video did not make any sense, and I need to know what I can do to get everyone excited and able to comprehend what we need to have done.
If no-one is able to help out with this, I need to know that, too. :-)
