The current definitions of the bent and the louise, according to the "Currency" wiki page, are mathematically inconsistent.
This would make sense if there were 100 bence in a lou, but;

Common practice has established sixty bence to the lou and one lou equals $1.50, which means that each bent is worth $.025

Template:Lb on the Wiki operates on the value of 1.50 per lou, and that a bent is 1/60th of a lou.

Just to note (late), the Burgermeister of Inland Revenue and his reports operate on the basis of a louis being $1.50 exactly, and there being 60 bence to a louis.

Wasn't the cause of this discrepancy (I barely seem to remember) an increase in the price of beer?
