It's weird to think for the first time since 2003, I hold an organically-mandated Cabinet-level office (I assume the PM is considered a member of the Cabinet). I thank the Seneschal for his trust, and I look forward to doing even more work than I have been doing heretofore. My Talossan diary is full, and I am happy about that.
I had hoped to get to Talossan things this week. Yes, the November 2018 Clark will be processed this week re El Lex and the Digest. Hopefully, next week will see me have a little more wiggle-room for things.
Per my political party's rules which prevent one from serving in Cabinet while being Mencei, I have resigned from the latter, but not from the Senäts. I look forward to serving out my term in that body, and perhaps beyond.
With STUFF coming into my Talossan life, I now hold three of the four offices which deal directly with the maintenance of Talossan historical records and artifacts (Glüc being SoS, of course). Of course, STUFF is mainly concerned with the active marketing of present-day Talossa.
This fact is not lost on me, and in the months of December and January, I will be putting together, in concert with the Royal Archives, Scribery, and (Glüc-willing) the SoS staff a system of delegation of a number of projects in keeping with the 42 Project. None of this will be put out by myself by way of fiat-diktat-from-on-high, but rather by way of a more collegial approach which has been the chief reason, imho, the 42 Project has been so well received. The Royal Archives Think-Tank has been a huge part of its success, and it and all of you have my great thanks.
If everything goes to plan, I want to roll out a bunch of delegated opportunities to serve Talossa in incredibly-meaningful ways, however mundane and tedious the work will be (and believe you me, it will be tedious). Two of these projects you all know of already: Clarkiving and otherwise-archiving all Clarks, election results, etc. as well as, of course, the archiving of this discussion forum (which as it turns out I've been talking about for ten years).
I will not inundate you with constant updates (AD, I take your point kindly) here, but know behind-the-scenes things will be at work. And of course, the critical monthly work of the Scribe will go on unabated.
