Azul everyone,
between the 15th of June (in about a week) and the 1st of July elections will be held to the 52nd Cosa, in addition to 6 senate seats and various provincial assemblies.
These elections will be conducted mostly using the Talossan database built by Marti-Pair Furxheir S.H.. The elections will be held in accordance with the OrgLaw and title B of El Lexhatx. Additional rules by which these elections will be conducted have just been validated by majority vote of the Electoral Commission and can be found here. This includes instructions on how to vote and instructions for party leaders on how to register, which I will repeat here and which can be done in this thread.
Senatorial elections
It is the understanding of the chancery that the chancery will conduct senatorial elections for Benito, Cézembre, Fiôvâ, Maricopa, and Vuode. In addition, Maritiimi-Maxhestic will conduct its own senatorial elections. If any of this is not correct, please contact me as soon as possible.
Information for party leaders
To appear on the ballot a party needs to register with the chancery before balloting day.
Ideally this is done in any of the following ways:
*By replying to this thread
*By sending a private Wittenberg message to me
*by sending an email to talossachancery@gmail.com using your email adress registered with the chancery
Registrations need to include:
Full Party Name
Party Initials (Max 4 letters unless approved by the SoS)
A statement of 50 words or fewer to be included on the ballot
Party leader(s)
The URL of a party platform (optional)
A candidate list for seats (optional)
A candidate list is strictly speaking optional. However, if a party does not submit a candidate list to the Secretary of State before the election, the party leader is assigned all seats won, and seats which cannot be held by the Party Leader are forfeited. It is therefore very strongly advised, especially for parties that wish to have more than one MC or expect to get more than the maximum number of seats that can be held by one MC to submit a candidate list.
In addition, parties can submit Senate Endorsement for any of the upcoming Senate elections, which will be listed on the ballot.
Lastly, parties will have to pay a fee before they can claim seats in the Cosa. Information about how to best pay this fee can be found here.
Voting by post
The adress that is listed in the link on the database has not yet been updated. For the upcoming elections it will be an adress in The Netherlands. Keep in mind that votes need to arrive before the election deadline to be valid and mail might take long to arrive depending on your location.
A complete overview of how to vote can be found in the rules in the link and will also be posted in the voting thread at the start of the elections.
If there are any questions, you can post them here or contact me on witt or fb.
