Estimats Benitiens,
It is my pride and pleasure to announce that I am standing for the Senats from our great Province of Benito (the province so nice they named it twice) as a member of the Free Democrats of Talossa.
In my time with Talossa, I was the longest-serving Seneschal in the Republic, as well as an active parliamentary member, Senator, and Foreign Minister. In the Regipats, I serves a term as Benitian Maestro, during which we established a provincial judiciary system nd began the process of the Great Benitian Land Survey, which (when completed) will make us the first province with a decent map of our own geographical area.
Looking forward, I would like to see the American State of Ohio returned to Benitian catchment, and will work to make this happen. We have a thriving cluster of active Talossans in Ohio, with the opportunity to grow, but we are spit along provincial lines. Further, as your Senator, I will work for greater reform of the judiciary system as well as the monarchy's role in a contemporary Talossa. I am particularly interested in moving away from the historically Un-Talossan hereditary monarchy and toward a more uniquely, Peculiarly, Talossan system.
Talossa's former Seneschal, Luc da Schir, has also mentioned that he would be standing in his resignation as Prime Minister. I feel it is time for a change. Our august Senator has served Benito, but now it's time to serve Benito better.
Vote Bornatfiglheu... serve Benito Better.

So... shall there be a debate? Mud wrestling? Monster truck race? All of the above?

Well, I have two questions, but I've held off asking them because I fear if worded wrong I may offend two people I admire. But since nobody else is engaging your campaign, here I go, with no disrespect inteded toward you or Lüc:
1. The current senator had a slight scandal a couple of cosas back when a pet project he had been sheparding met with some last minute protest from a sizeable percentage of his home province's voters. The senator reacted to this protest with annoyance and seemingly ignored the concerns of these voters with little public explanation. How might you handle a similar situation where an initiative of yours is met with disdain by a significant portion of your constituency?
2. You, also, had something of a scandal in the past. Should the people of Benito be concerned?

It's not a form of disrespect to ask questions, and I'm glad to answer.
1.) If a project of mine were to meet with sudden protest, as the catchment reform did, it would definitely give me pause for a moment. I would look long and hard at the protest demands and the potential positive outcomes of the project I've been handling. I'm a big believer, when representing a constituency, in making a good-faith attempt at reaching consensus, and so there would be at least one townhall to address it. If that can't come to pass, then I make the decision that I feel is best in the longterm interest of Benito and Talossa, with plenty of explanation.
2.) I did indeed. Though, in the interest of not mincing words, I committed a crime. It is a series of actions that I deeply regret. I have served my sentence and have been rehabilitated, and work hard to regain people's trust. The people of Benito should not be concerned in the least, but I would not blame them if they are. All I can say is, I'm ready to work hard for the interests of Benito, and would like to encourage folks to talk to me if they have concerns.

Even a great Talossan landmark/celebrity like the Bronze Fonz endorses Bornatfiglheu for Senats from Benito! Support a Senator who has taken the haxh!
