If a Senator vacates his or her seat before the end of the term, the executive of the province shall appoint a Senator to sit until the next General Election or the next provincial election in that province, whichever is sooner, at which time the people of the province shall elect a Senator to serve the remainder of the term. If the provincial executive fails to appoint a Senator within a fortnight of the vacancy, the King or his Cunstavál shall appoint the Senator.
Vuode is now completely unrepresented in the Ziu. I can only apologise for my own part in leading us here.
However, the safety mechanism in place has not been triggered and the fault lies squarely with the Crown.
Vuode's 'executive' having failed to appoint a replacement Senator should have led to the Crown Constable or, indeed, the King himself naming my interim successor.
Will the Crown please now act to re-establish Vuode's representation in the Parliament?

However, first and foremost, Vuode has failed Vuode. It was the argument of many Talossans, including Vuodeans, that, if Vuode chose not to have a government, then that was legitimate.
So, I guess if Vuode chooses not to have representation in the Senate, then that is legitimate.
