Esteemed Senators and Members of the Cosa, I am honoured to finally present to you the agenda that my government intends to follow during this Cosa.
Justice: the coalition parties will discuss and work on S:r Marcianüs's draft 2017 Organic Law replacement, in committee or before the full Ziu, to try and make it more acceptable to both parties. There will be no prior commitment from either party to support the final outcome of the talks, but there will be full willingness to craft out a honest compromise. Furthermore, the Attorney-General will look into repealing and replacing Wisconsin law sections of El Lexhatx, with indigenous Talossan equivalents drafted with the input of top members of the Bar.
Culture: D:na Schivâ will work with CUG, SIGN and the community of Talossan speakers to promote and create a Unified Orthography that combines the best features of the pre- and post- 2007 Arestada. Furthermore, non-governmental, non-political bodies will be encouraged to contribute to Talossan culture through, for example, the press; and a council of Provincial Governors will be promoted to spark provincial activity.
Prime Ministry: the Seneschal will sign a Prime Dictate to run a Census in early 2018; we also intend to make sure a question is added that allows people that don't live in the catchment area of their province to be reassigned if they wish so. Additionally, Telecomuna will be made available during the course of this Cosa; ideally, the Ziu will begin to use it for its day to day proceedings from the next Cosa onwards, and the Government will use it as a
tool to enhance transparency and improve accountability.
Finance: S:r Xheraltescù has prepared a Budget that will be presented very soon for consideration by the Ziu in the Second Clark. The aim is to generally reduce expenses, both by choosing not to spend on new major projects and aiming to reform web hosting further, so that the deficit is reduced as much as possible. The purchase of stamps and coins will be encouraged and advertised, both on Wittenberg, on social media and on other specialised fora. A fundraiser will also be ran in order to bring our finance closer to breaking even, while web hosting costs are being reconsidered.
STUFF: S:r da Dhi will work to complete a reform of Talossa's online presence. Particularly, we aim to cut costs by phasing out kingdomoftalossa.net and/or shifting to a more affordable hosting plan as soon as possible. Minister da Dhi will also continue his brilliant work managing the Kingdom's social media accounts.
Interior: in addition to enacting key tenets of the Moderate Radical platform, S:r Plätschisch will lead efforts to review and reform the Civil Service, beginning with the appointment of people as Permanent Secretaries rather than Deputy Ministers. A run of ID cards to follow coins and stamps will also be considered. The government would ideally like to organise a TalossaFest sometime in 2018.
Foreign: S:r da Lhiun has already begun an endeavor to get in touch with a number of likeminded foreign micronations, some of whose envoys already met with our Ministers in Atlanta earlier this year. A letter for the consideration of President Kevin Baugh of Molossia has already been crafted and will be sent in due time. We also plan on increasing our presence on micronational fora and advertising our coins and stamps to potential customers from other micronations.
Additionally, S:r Davinescu's duties will tentatively include completing a reform of Talossan defence, overseeing TalossaAid and TalossaWare, and in his capacity as Deputy Minister of STUFF helping with the maintenance of the website.
