Without being asked for it a CpI justice has decided today that apparently the CpI should really be the legislative power as well. Additionally, this justice has unilaterally decided to give up Talossas sovereignty and make Talossan law subject to whatever US law is. (Note that Talossan law applies in Cézembre as well.)
Of all the bizarre CpI decisions we've seen in the past years, this has to be most ridiculous one.
Nowhere in the OrgLaw does it say the CpI can decide what the laws of the Kingdom are, based on what another country thinks. This is a task for the Ziu. Rather the CpI should rule in accordance with the law as it's made by the Ziu. (Of course if a law contradicts the OrgLaw, the CpI can prevent its enforecement, but that is not the case here.) What's happening here violates any reasonable interpretation of separation of powers.
What's even more insane is a justice ordering an MC (even if that MC is the same person) to vote a certain way. An MC is a representative of the people. If there is a conflict that might be a reason for this CpI justice not to rule on such a case, but there is no way it should be possible to avoid such a conflict by ordering an elected MC to vote a certain way.
The courts asks for opinions? Here's mine: retract this ruling asap to avoid the CpI never being taken seriously again.

I, too, believe this to be a dark turn of events.

Without being asked for it a CpI justice has decided today that apparently the CpI should really be the legislative power as well. Hilarious, isn't it? And yet well within Talossan tradition. In the old days of KR1, openly politicized Cort Justices would simultaneously sit as Senators and MCs. Obviously BenArd wants to bring those days back.
