Esteemed Senators, I must apologize to the Mençei for seizing the initiative, but last month we did not come to a vote on the Senator for Vuode's resolution regarding the bestowment of the Senatorial Medal of Honour to S:reux Tamoran, Furxheir and Perþonest. In addition to calling for a vote on 50RS01 - as I'd rather make sure this is dealt with before the next General Election - seeing as last month there was no "official" voting thread, I'd also like to call a vote on all the bills on this month's Clark. That is simply because 1) I'd like to have the RZ and RS votes take place on the same thread; and 2) because I *think* I have always written some final thoughts in the last Clark and I'd like to keep doing so. (If this thread is found to be out of order, though, I'd like to apologise in advance.) I hereby call a vote upon the following bills: RZ24 - THE LEGISLATION PROOFREADING BILL RZ25 - THE AMENDMENT TO THE ORGLAW (Separate Cosa and Senats Voting) BILL RZ26 - The Due Process Amendment RZ27 - The Bar Reformation Act RZ28 - The Ambiguity Resolution Act RZ29 - The Good Laws Take Preparation Time Act RZ30 - The Tiebreaker Act RZ31 - The Lannister Act + Sense of the Ziu And upon the following resolution, RS01 - The 50th Cosa Senatorial Medals of Honour Resolution: Note that your vote will only be counted if it is made either within this thread, or within the thread started by the Secretary of State, Martì-Paír Furxhéir, or if it is made online on the Database. Thank you.

RZ24 - THE LEGISLATION PROOFREADING BILL An improvement on what we originally had (sorry for the mix-up earlier). PER
RZ25 - THE AMENDMENT TO THE ORGLAW (Separate Cosa and Senats Voting) BILL Nothing will change except procedure. The root of the problem will still remain and all we would have done is make the Clark process more convoluted. Sorry, I vote CON.
RZ26 - The Due Process Amendment An improvement on what we originally had. PER
RZ27 - The Bar Reformation Act Yes, there is a slight error that requires fixing next term, but I don't think we should fail the bill for the tiny oversight. We know what needs fixed and shall fix it in the first Clark next term. I vote PER.
RZ28 - The Ambiguity Resolution Act A good measure that creates a procedure we're supposed to have. I only wish it wasn't so complicated. PER
RZ29 - The Good Laws Take Preparation Time Act I could have sworn it used to be a rule that the SoS couldn't Clark a bill unless it had a sponsor plus at least one other co-sponsor. Maybe not or maybe we used to have it and then we changed it. In any case, I think it's a good idea that bills going to final vote have at least one member from each house giving it the initial shove. I'm not sure if the time extensions will make a difference, but it won't hurt. I vote PER.
RZ30 - The Tiebreaker Act What happened to the good old days when we rolled a six sided die out of some old wargaming set? *sigh* Aw, well. PER.
RZ31 - The Lannister Act + Sense of the Ziu I do not think it's a good idea to have the domain registrant be as dynamic as is proposed. It should be a permanent name. This has effects outside of our Kingdom's laws. I vote CON.
And, on 50RS01 I vote PER.

My votes for this final Clark (MPF - I have already inserted them into the DB):
RZ24 - THE LEGISLATION PROOFREADING BILL - PER RZ25 - THE AMENDMENT TO THE ORGLAW (Separate Cosa and Senats Voting) BILL - CON - Not because I don't recognise the merits of reforming the voting process, but because I would much rather prefer a First+Second reading style process like in V's OrgLaw draft, or even a fully month-staggered Cosa and Senate voting. RZ26 - The Due Process Amendment - PER RZ27 - The Bar Reformation Act - PER RZ28 - The Ambiguity Resolution Act - PER RZ29 - The Good Laws Take Preparation Time Act - CON - Again, this is because I would prefer fixing errors and forcing second thoughts through the methods I outlined above, but also because I think Clarking a bill doesn't have to depend on the will of eight people. RZ30 - The Tiebreaker Act - PER RZ31 - The Lannister Act + Sense of the Ziu - PER - We finally sorted out web hosting. That has been in the Moderate Radical platform since... forever? Mad props to Glüc.
RS01 - The 50th Cosa Senatorial Medals of Honour - big fat PER

Usual closing thoughts - this has been an extremely fruitful term and I'm ever so grateful to all of my colleagues in this august House for sharing it with me. Best of luck to the honourable Senators from Cézembre, Florencia and Maricopa, should they stand as I hope for reelection, and, if otherwise, any of them should decide to retire, heartfelt thanks for their admirable service. I hope to see all of you back next October for an equally productive term.

I would first like to thank my colleague Senator da Schir for helping me out, this really has not been the easiest of times for me, in terms of time management. So busy was I, that I did not even have time to fall ill, and now that I am on vacation, I have fallen ill. What a terrible irony of the fates.
Anyway, I would like to repeat the Senator’s sentiments, this term was filled with amicable, sometimes heated, but at all times respectful discussions. I enjoyed, and enjoy very much, working with each and every one of you to advance Talossa’s laws, to make them a bit more just with every Clark. But be it as it may, Talossa needs more extralegal activity. We need a sense of community, a sense of usefulness outside of legislation in its own right.
To those senators who wish to continue senating, I am glad to have you in this House. Those who are up for a reëlection, I wish the best of luck. And those who think of retiring, or going on to pursue different matters, I ask to keep in mind Talossa’s non-legislative future. If you can, find more souls who would fall in love with our neither flawed, nor flawless nationette. Immigration, and active participation are the only things keeping her alive. Let’s get a bit more life into things!
I will see you in the next Cosă, fare ye well!
My votes are:
RZ24 - PER RZ25 - ABS RZ26 - a hearty, proud PER RZ27 - PER! RZ28 - PER RZ29 - AUS RZ30 - CON RZ31 - CON
RRZZ30/31 is voted down, because both bills show no author in the Database. While I realise that this may be just an oversight, I cannot let it pass. The bills have my support, but I cannot possibly allow such a blatant mistake to be enshrined in the Annuntzia dels Legeux.

Current and Former Colleagues,
It's been an honor working with all of you during my last two terms in office, and serving the citizens of my great province of Maricopa. It's also been an honor to serve as Finance Minister during the last government, helping to get coins minted, as well as serving as interim-President of the Free Democrats of Talossa. At this time, I'd like to announce my retirement from the Senäts, and my resignation as the leader of the Free Democrats going into the election for the 51st Cosa election. To my colleagues running for reelection, as well as my fellow party leaders, I wish you all the best of luck going forward. I hope to continue my legislative service soon, returning to the Cosa for the first time to represent the Free Democrats.
I'm pleased to announce my final votes in this chamber, at least for now:
50RZ24 - Për. 50RZ25 - Për. Although I agree that it might be time to extend Cosa terms to allow for non-simultaneous voting by the two houses of the Ziu, this is a step in the right direction. 50RZ26 - Për. 50RZ27 - Për. 50RZ28 - Për, though echoing my friend in the Cosa's concerns regarding the apparent inability for the Cort to rule on time sensitive issues (regardless of presentation) and noting that this particular bill wouldn't change that. 50RZ29 - Con. I don't know how this bill would affect things such as Resolutions of the Senäts, but more importantly, I feel the better fix for the problem this bill seeks to remedy would be a non-simultaneous voting system. 50RZ30 - Për, understanding that technical errors seem to be preventing the publication of the bill's author in the Clark, and that the Scribery should correct this in the DoL upon passage. 50RZ31 - Për, see above.
Finally, on 50RS01, I also vote Për. It's been a pleasure working with you all, and I look forward to working with you all from the Cosa side.
*Takes a final sip of scotch, takes in my last looks of the chamber, and walks out for the last time.*
