Voting has started in the Senechal election. Voting will continue until 23.59 on 20th April 2016.
There is only one candidate: Glüc da Dhi
Note that I hve not used BallotBin, as it doesn't seem to be working. I have instead used OpaVote, so check your spam folder carefully.
Any problems, plese let me know. I am however on vacation, so I cannot promise to reply before Monday. Happy voting!

5 votes cast so far!
If anybody knows citizen Bernardo Proner, can you ask him to get in touch, either by PM or at 474@talossa.ca? I am unfortunately getting a bounceback on his email address.
Any feedback on the system would be great too. I think it pretty user friendly and once I figured it out it was easy enough to set up an election, but there is a nominal cost. Might even be a good backup for national elections in the unlikely case of a catastrophe.

10 votes now cast..that reminder worked nicely. Another reminder will be sent on 12th. Can we get to 50% turnout?

Might even be a good backup for national elections in the unlikely case of a catastrophe. It worked fine for me. Is there an admin account or some way for candidate representatives to see what email adresses were allowed to vote? Are the votes anonymous or is there a direct or indirect way for the admin to link them to the voters? How much does it cost?

The FAQ is here. www.opavote.com/faqThis election cost me 10$ but thats due to the length of the election-if we took a day off the voting period it it would be 5$, but the window for getting the results would be a bit narrow. The results wont be permanently available at OpaVote either, as they are deleted on the expiry of the election, but apparently you can save the details before the election expires (voting is set to stop on 20th but the election is still available until 27th). A glitch might be that one has to use ones Google account to log in, and without thinking I used my actual google account. I had thought the rep could log into the election manager to see the election, and I think that should be enough, but id have to be sure they didnt take the ipportunity to poke around my email! Let me see what the election report actually shows when the voting stops, that might be sufficient for checking the set up. From what I remember of BallotBin it should be enough election for us, but it doesnt seem to work any more, unfortunately. OpaVote is the only solution I could find with a reasonable price at short notice, but I'm not wedded to it. After the election is over it would be worth testing it a bit more to see how it could work for us. For the senate election, it might be a little expensive to follow Chancery rules, but I havent investigated it yet. I wouldnt rule out using the chancery, but maybe with a cezembrean Deputy SoS?
