Hello, Dr. Txec dal Nordselvă and Dame Litz Cjantscheir, UrN, you are now able to validate the ballots like your both did in the previous election, and for Litz, like you also did for the 47th Cosa election.
Béneditsch Ardpresteir, O.SPM., this will be your first Electoral commission, so here are the instructions:
1 ) Login to the database at: www.talossa.ca/files/login.php
You can login using Facebook, or I can assign you a password.
2 ) Visit www.talossa.ca/files/election_result.php
You will see all of the votes, even the Secret ones, and 2 buttons for each: Valid and Invalid.
When a vote is marked as "PSC", it means the person voted online. There are no other records of that vote. In theory, these votes are 100% valid, but we should still check the IP addresses to make sure that neither I or my deputy, Txec (we can see the PSC too), have voted for a citizen (I didn't, and I am sure Txec didn't either).
However, for non-PSC votes, it's MY IP address which will show up, and my name in the User column, that's because it was manually entered.
When a vote is marked as "mail", it means the person voted by email. You can go to: www.talossa.ca/files/email.php to view the inbound the emails. Yes, all emails are there twice, I know. I prefer them showing there twice than losing one.
You will be able to validate all PSC, mail and Witt votes on your own. If it matches, click Valid. If it doesn't click Invalid. You cannot change your validation yourself. I need to manually reset your vote if you made an error. It's not serious, I can just login and reset your vote, but if you really mark a ballot Invalid when the others have validated it, please send me a private message explaining why.
So far, here are the 2 problems we had: a 13 citizen voting PRESENT, which I thought was ok, and which Litz pointed out wasn't. A citizen who made an invalid Referendum vote which the EC member didn't all interpret the same way. I said that "whatever" meant "abstain", someone else (Was it Txec? I don't remember), said it meant "invalid vote".
Therefore, just pressing invalid isn't enough...
You can see how the other members marked the ballots (valid, invalid or still pending), but please, make up your own mind. The integrity of our democracy counts on it.
There are 2 votes you will not be able to validate yet:
1 ) The single Postal vote. I need to scan the mailled in ballot and upload it.
2 ) The single voicemail vote. I need to upload the .wav file of the voicemail.
Please, all 3 of you, do not mark these 2 as invalid just because I haven't uploaded yet the files. It's coming.
