Since the first attempt at a Historians' Guild failed, I'd like to give it a...(let's say a) face lift and offer it to those interested. The Historians' Guild is an attempt to an organization dedicated to discussing and propagating the various aspects of Social Science in Talossa! History, culture, linguistics, etc., if you're interested in joining and nerding out with like-minded people, join now! We will discuss Talossan and non-Talossan history alike! The scope of our discussions will span alternative history, historical linguistics, and even philosophy! All you'll need is an inquisitive mind to join! Message me as soon as possible!

Count me in, as my first ETT article shows...
I have access to Witt IX, Witt X, L'annuzia Del Legeu, the Database system, email archives from 2000-2004 with key officials (since I was the key bureaucrat from 2001-2004).
And I am writing an historial books (even if it's on pause right now, I have plans to resume it later).

Would a new thread for the historian's guild be created?

I would be delighted to participate. My historical specialty lies in the cold war period from around 1947-1998 but I have knowledge in a variety of other periods.

Perhaps the Taiping Rebellion in china? Always was an interesting conflict to me, 3rd most deadly conflict of all time, an impressive fact seeing that it occurred during the 1800's. The war of the league of cambrai is interesting with the french flipping sides mid-war. If you want to talk about something which is a sort of historic mystery, we could always analyze the Antikythera mechanism, an analog computer made by the Greeks in the 2nd century BC with technology that wouldn't be seen again until the 14th century AD in Europe.

I find WW1 interesting, part of the reason being that I never heard very much about it until recently (it is not a war that is talked about very much in the USA).

Let's do this: why don't we discuss the Napoleonic Wars since it can be argued that it's the conflict that lead us to where we are to day. It's effects are still being felt even now

It's fair to say that world history can be divided between East and West. Why don't we alternate between the two?

Oh, so it would be a guild of general history and not Talossan history?
Sorry then, I guess I completely misunderstood what it was...
Not that I am any less interested, my house is filled with history books!

Talossan history is welcome too of course! We can cover our real history or alternative history surrounding it
