Having received the ZRT's nomination some while ago, I'd just like to confirm that I'm running for senator of Ataturk (if only to provide a challenge to perennial senator Brad Holmes). While, last time, I conducted a vigorous campaign, I cannot promise such this time. What I can promise is that if elected, I will be more active in engaging with the province and its interests than our current senator is present. Feel free to browse my Cosa voting record to get an idea on where I stand on the issues, or ask me questions here!
Our province is rather quiet, but I sense a new wave of indignation and dissatisfaction with the status quo. Many people want to change how things are done around here. A change in Senäts representation will be a signal of this desire for improvement.
For Atatürk,
Óïn Ursüm

I think youd be a good senator, but doesnt senator Holmes' term actually end only after the next term?

I agree that S:reu Ursüm would do well in the role. My understanding is that Holmes' term doesn't expire until the 48th Cosa in March 2015.

Ah, I see. I guess I was confused by the fact the ZRT conference nominated me, and I didn't bother to check whether there would be an election coming up. Surely that oversight counts against my fitness to be a candidate! Anyway, by that time you will be eligible to run, Sevastáin. Or maybe Evan would like to try next time. Just need to make sure S:reu Holmes doesn't go unopposed!

I quite agree that some competition for our current senator is in order. I am certainly considering a run.
