This morning, I began the work on the Census form.
Here is what I did:
1 ) The form is protected the same way as for the Privacy form: you enter your citzenship number and get a code in an email to let you in. You can also login to the database if you are already logged in.
2 ) The form itself is coded. Not the handling of the form, meaning that it doesn't save yet, but it currently asks the questions.
The form is in 4 sections:
A) Your Public Talossan Information

It is divided in 2 Sections, Mandatory Fields:
- Your Public Name
- Your Date of Citizenship (in case of errors)
- Your General Location (with the note: Your general location doesn't need to be more precise than city, state/sprovince, country, but you can also just specify your state and country, or even just your country.)
And optional fields:
- Your Talossan Party (with the note: Please only enter a party if you are the member of a party.)
- Your Expressed Gender (4 options: Unspecified, Male, Female, Other)
- Your Occupation (with the note: Your occupation is not mandatory, but even if you answer, you do not have to be precise.)
- Your Birthdate (Your age will be calculated from your birthdate, but your birthdate will be kept confidential.)
There are also 3 big Rich Text Editor boxes:
- Your Talossan Biography (The history of your involvement in Talossa)
- Your Biography (The history of your life outside Talossa):
- Other Informations (Such as which honors you received):
B ) Your private Talossan Information
This section contains your private information visible to the Chancery and specific officials granted access to that information by law
- Your Real Name
- Your Email Address
- Your Main Phone number
- Your Secondary Phone Number
- Your Address (A Rich Text Editor box)
c ) Maintenance information
This section contains questions to help the Cancery in it's operation and maintenance.
- The first election you could vote in: (it's a drop down of all of the Cosa elections since the 22nd, and the date of those elections. Default is Unknown).
- The Main citizen who introduced you to Talossa
Section: Other citizens in your family:
- Spouse/Partner
- Parent 1
- Parent 2
Up to 10 Dandelions can be linked to you.
And there is a rich text edition box to register other children.

What is the census and why is there one?
Talossa needs rules to determine when citizens are no longer interested in remaining citizens.
In the past, the three-strike rule applied: if a citizen didn't vote in 3 consecutive elections, he would lose his citizenship.
Now, if has citizen answered the census less than 2 years ago, he will be considered to still be active.
The Chancery's implementation
The Secretary of State Office has decided to create a live up to date census: you can fill it at any time by vitisting: (link to the census)
Filling the census will stop all reminders to fill it for a period of 1 year. Once that year is passed, every citizen will receive regular reminders to fill it.
The first time you fill it, you will have a lot of questions to answer, but on subsequant occasions, unless new questions are added, you will only need to confirm your previous answers or offer updates
Please note that for most questions, you will be able to specify the level of privacy for your answers.
