More changes... The new Provinces page at: www.talossa.ca/files/provinces.php which lists the citizens per province with the number of the voters. Unlike the main page, it only lists active citizens, and it allows to easily compare the population of the provinces. I have also added a countdown of the number of Clarks served for the PM and Sos on their respective pages. On the PM page, you also have a countdown of the parties. We see the countdown of the 13 SoS and the 32 PM (but only 11 PM Parties). We can notably see that I now only need to serve 24 more Clarks to have served more Clarks than Ian Von Metaira (with his record 58 Clarks!). In short... I have 4 more Cosas to go or about 3 years or so. Whippee, 2018, wait for me! A global countdown is also at the bottom of the Senators page, but that countdown is global but by province, so Ma La Mha who was senator of 2 provinces is listed twice in the list, and not once, since it's 2 different jobs...

Thw cosa vote result page (http://www.talossa.ca/files/cosa_vote_result.php?cosa=47&clark=6) has been redesigned slightly:
1 ) The results of the Cosa and Senate pass/fail column is now at the right instead of at the last. Why? That way, the Ziu result isn't next to the Cosa Result, making it clearer.
2 ) There are big black lines between the Ziu/Cosa/Senate section
3 ) The VOC of the Senate is now in black instead of saying N/A
4 ) The Amdenment, Cosa and Senate titles are centered.
None of these a major, but I think the table looks better now.

I worked again on the Database this morning. 1 ) When voting on the Clark isn't over yet, the status of the Bill reflects it and mentions that voting isn't completed yet. This is a feature I wanted back in 2001 and I had not yet done it because my knowledge of PHP wasn't good enough, and later, there was no priority to it, but today, I had to do it for 2 below... 2 ) There is a new page, Pending Referendums, which you can see at: www.talossa.ca/files/pendingref.php without having to login. It lists all of the successful Amendments of the current Cosa and all Amendments being voted on at this moment. That way, the SoS won't forget to hold a referendum anymore and everyone can see what are the upcoming referendums! 3 ) The All bills from a Cosa page www.talossa.ca/files/bills.php now defaults to the current Cosa instead of the 32nd... I used to increment that number manually which was STUPID since the data about the current Cosa was in the database, but I guess I had never seen it (it's not a page I use often personally a lot from Menu, I generally use it from the List of All Clarks) 4 ) I added protection on the current Clark to prevent the status from being set when voting is active. In short, if voting isn't over yet, we don't mark yet the bills as failed or passed. This is in link with 1 above and is a new bug introduced this morning, but still, it's a bug I fixed 10 minutes after causing it, so I thought it might be good to mention it.

I once again worked on the Database this morning. Here is what I did:
1 ) I had made a page to fix the Clark Number of Bills which were imported from Hooligan's files (which didn't have the Clark number). That script had never worked. I fixed it this morning and used it to assign Bills from the first 2 Clark of the 33th Cosa to their proper Clark.
2 ) These first 2 Clarks didn't have all of the bills since the failed bills aren't all in Hooligans's files, so I entered the missing ones.
3 ) The Cosa members were not entered for those 2 Clarks, so I entered them using the Data Entry form, and changed the edit box to select the citizen to the drop down now used everywhere else
4 ) Speaking of that drop-down, I can now specify to only list Active citizens or all of them, which allows to select former citizens in past Clarks
5 ) I then entered the Clark and Senate Votes for those 2 Clarks
But the best of news is that I managed to enter the data, fix the Clarks, add the Bills, etc.. using Forms and only needed to access the raw database because of bug in a script.
The even better news is that all of those scripts are accessible (or least meant to be accessible, once any rights issues are fixed) by a Clarkchivist, someone who wants to help enter past information without being in the SoS office itself.
These scripts are more secure than the SoS ones since they don't allow destruction of data (other than votes on Clarks) and as such, can't modify data that was already validated.
Furthermore, it is my plan now to give access only to certain Cosas to any future Clarkchivist, but to be honest, I had forgotten how fun it was for me to do it...
To search the Clark records, fix data, etc...
To me, it is very fulfilling and relaxing, so I will try to finish the 33th Cosa in the next few days, and then, move on to the 34th, etc... until I catch up with my return as SoS.
Then, the Database would have complete records of our legislature (well, as complete as we can, since l'Annutzia has a few holes in it and some data is lost to history).

Updates from this morning: 1 ) As mentionned elsewhere, I clarified which bills need 2/3 of the Senate and updated my 2 bills which do 2 ) I added the 3 existing referendums to the Ballot 3 ) I modified the new Pending Referendum page so that it shows when a referendum is pending. You can view for yourself at: www.talossa.ca/files/pendingref.php4 ) I created the data structure to allow the 50 words statements of Parties on Referendums 5 ) I created one such 50 words statement, for testing 6 ) I now display that 50 words statement on the pending referendum page, take a look for yourself! This means that I still need: 1 ) A form for parties to edit their 50 words statements 2 ) To display the 50 words statements on the ballot. 3 ) To get Talossan instructions for the Ballot... And 47RZ19 (http://www.talossa.ca/files/bills.php?cosa=47&bill=19) will be implemented.

Updates from this morning: 1 ) The voting form at: www.talossa.ca/files/vote.php now displays a preview of the next election when the 3 Clark is prepared. In other words, right now is shows the voting form for the 48th Election (the next one) and will do so until I get ready to make the 3rd Clark of the 48th Cosa. It will then show the voting form for the 49th Cosa... 2 ) The voting form now displays the 50 words statements by the parties on the referendums 3 ) The emailed ballot now displays the 50 Words statements by the parties on the referendums 4 ) The pending referendum page (http://www.talossa.ca/files/pendingref.php) and the All Bills from Cosa page (http://www.talossa.ca/files/bills.php) now have collapsed vote details which means that by default, you do not see the individual Cosa member votes, but you can easily click on the link "Vote Details for RZ#" and it will expand (or collapsed if expanded) via Javascript (no need to refresh the page). 5 ) The voting form now warns when it is not active.

6 ) I have FINALLY fixed the stupid Vote of Confidence bug which corrupted the VOC when I change the Cosa Members. This bug haunted me in 2003-2004 and it broke the Voc twice since I returned and it is now FIXED.
7 ) I have fininished the data entry on the 3th Clark of the 33th Cosa (http://www.talossa.ca/files/cosa_vote_result.php?cosa=33&clark=3)

This morning, I felt a little under the weather for allergies, so I did a lot less than I had planned:
1 ) I added the PDF files for all of the Clarks of the 33th Cosa, using a new file naming scheme (the year in front).
2 ) I added a blue button at the top oc the Clark displays called "View PDF Version" when there is one
3 ) I discovered that the 1st Clark of the 33th Cosa was prorogated and moved all of the Clarks of that Cosa 1 month into the future and deleted the 6th Clark
4 ) I created all of the Referendums for the 48th Cosa election, assuming the King will not veto any bills (if he does, I will just delete the referendums)

All of the Clarks of the 33th Cosa are now in the Database!
Next up: the 34th Cosa...
I will slowly, but surely, enter all of the Clark into the database so that it contains the sum of all of the Legislative data of Talossa, like it used to in June 2004...

this morning, I began working on the 34th Cosa.
Clark #1 bills were validated, but then, a problem occured: We lost to history Clark#2, including 4 of its bills!
And so, I digged... Archive.org doesn't have the Clark, and we have Clark #3 and as such, the votes on Clark #2. We know all Bills from Clark #1 (a living cosa) passed, and the votes of 2 Ziu members.
I managed to get a draft copy of Bill RZ6 and entered it. I managed to find, from votes, the overall subject of the other bills, so I entered them.
I even managed to find that RZ4 and RZ5 had been proposed by Marc Moisan, and RZ6 by Marcus Cantalour, so I added them on the bills.
Finally, I added the Clark Comments field on those 2 Clarks to explained what happened.
Oh, and I moved the Clark menu so that it is under the Clark nname on both the Clark bills and the Clark Votes page, for more consistency (previously, it was a the top of the page for one, and under the SoS on the other)

I just accidentally emailed 2 ballots for the 47th Cosa election (the previous one), so I added a protection to prevent emailing ballots while the election is NOT active...
Sorry folks.
These were for:
Citizen #198, Çaðatay Çakýr
And
Citizen #181: Maxfield Sklar
