May i ask what is an Orthodox Paschalion The method of computing the date of Easter and related dates (Lent, Pentecost, etc.). It nominally is based on the Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox, but the dates for the equinox and full moon are based on specific tables, rather than astronomical observation. Eastern Orthodox churches use one that fixes the official vernal equinox at March 21st on the Julian calendar, which is the original calculation method arrived at one of the early ecumenical councils. Roman Catholics switched to using March 21st on the Gregorian calendar under the direction of Pope Gregory the somethingth in 15xx, and the various established state Protestant churches in Europe eventually followed as their governments adopted the Gregorian as the civil calendar. At least in the English-speaking world, at least most not-state-affiliated Protestant groups also moved along with the civil calendar change. (I think some of the "Oriental Orthodox" churches [which separated from the then-united Orthodox-and-Catholic branch over a dispute that recently has been declared to have been a misunderstanding all along] have swapped to the Gregorian, while others retain the old. Not 100% sure.)

Long live Talossa, with all traditions that were picked up along the long way to the inner peace that we are enjoying today.
(Penguinea and the Republic are still on my mind, cheers to the good times that we used to have there - there's a lot of hope that this time we may do better in keeping our nationette together in one.)

I am sorry that I missed this august occasion in April. Must have been the smoke blowing over Colorado that day...
