Trees are generally blazoned proper (i.e., the colour they'd normally be). Do you have a preference for a particular kind of tree, or just a generic tree? Also, would you like it blasted (no leaves), fructed (bearing fruit), or blossomed (bearing flowers)? Personally, I'd go for blossomed, because LaFior = Flower.
What do you want the pale vert to be in front of? We can't put it in front of the per cross thing, because of clashing tinctures.

Ok so here's the just of what I'm trying to do. I don't know if that's possible or not. The background would be green (but I spent like an hour just trying to get that so I left it blank). Attachments:

So you want the tree to be black? If so, we can't do a green background. (Sable/black and vert/green are both colours; can't have one on the other.) If you wanted it fimbriated (with a thin little border around it) or/yellow or argent/white, we could do that. Or if you wanted it proper, we could do that, and completely bypass that rule. What thinkest thou?

I don't think I'm quite understanding what "proper" would look like. The actual colors of the tree? i.e. brown and green? That could be neat.

That is correct.
Objects may be depicted in their natural colours, described in blazons as 'proper' (though in some cases what are considered the "natural colours".
This allows the object to skirt the "tincture" guidelines.

Yes, although I doubt you'd be able to argue in favour of sable a skunk proper.
S:da LaFior: Did you want flowers or fruit or anything on the tree, or just the tree? From what you've said so far, I understand just the tree.
