I recently talked to the The Bartleby Pursuivant (Sir Cresti Siervicül) about working on a Request. Everyone else is currently working on one.

Hmm... I'm not sure if we can put the Pietà on a Coat of Arms. There's definite precedent for putting Mary and Jesus and a whole bunch of other saints, but I'm not sure about the Pietà itself. I'm also not sure if we can use sanguine; don't remember encountering it before. Will conduct further research.

Oh hey! I was kidding. You had mentioned that you were a touch rusty, and so I just thought of the most ridiculously obscure and complex blazon I could.

Haha. Okay, then. See how rusty I am?
So, what shall we put on it, then? Generally one puts things indicative of occupation, interests, or something that represents one's name. (For example, Princess Beatrice of York's arms have three bees on them: bee-thrice = Beatrice.)

I work as a dancer, and dance is really important to me, and maybe one day I'll be able to do it while staying clad. So perhaps something representative of dance? (St. Vitus maybe?)
Though I do like the masculy background, perhaps sable and gules?

Masculy can look way cool, but masculy gules and sable wouldn't work because of the tincture rule. (Short version: Exactly one of the two tinctures needs to be argent or or.)

So divided field can be color/color, but patterning must be color/metal. Got it!
But how would a color/metal pattern interact with the charge? Lets say, for example:
masculy sable and argent, St. vitus Or. (wouldn't the St. Vitus charge interfere with the argent in the msculy pattern... or if the charge were to be coloured instead... same problem?)

You could blazon "Saint Vitus proper" and get around the rule. Or I suppose we could put a pale down the middle. Haha.
