My name is Rev. D. Patrick Schranck, Jr. If it so please the Squirrel King of Arms, I request the assistance of the College is designing and obtaining arms for myself and my lawful heirs.
My favorite colour is green
I attached an image of a sketch for a project I did, the white areas are where I can't remember what color was there except for the Canadian maple leaf section that's suppose to have a white background but all and all it's pretty similar to what I drew on paper, so I think it would be good for inspiration

From and for The Royal Talossan College of Arms Azul Patrick -- As Squirrel King of Arms, I am pleased to accept your request for assistance in designing arms. I now charge the Penzance Pursuivant, Dean of the College, with assigning one of the Fellows of the College to provide that assistance in the final preparation of your proposed arms and the preparation of a petition that they should be granted by the Crown. Greetings!
As the Dean of the College, it is my initial task to assign you a Fellow from the College to aid and assist you in the creation of your Coat of Arms ( CoA ).
Before I assign one to you request, I wonder if you had a preference in which Fellow is your guide?

Then I will assign our newest College member The Oblivious Auditing Fellowship (OAF) (Txec Róibeard Nordselva).
I will be supervising the creation of your Arms, in case any questions arise.
Good Luck!

Azul Patrick, I will be happy to assist you in the creation of your arms. I have a question about the image you posted.
I recognize the fleur-de-lis and the Canadian maple leaf, but the other two symbols I am not sure of. Can you provide me with some background on those?

Congratulations Dr. Txec Róibeard Nordselva on being designated the new OAF. I say 'new' because I came to know that a certain SKA was an OAF some time ago...

Azul again Patrick! I looked over your drawing in further depth to gauge what can be used in your arms. I believe the azure fleur-de-lis on a gold background is allowed. The Canadian Maple leaf, however, I don't think the College will allow as that is what is called a "restricted charge." The circle with the four dots, I still do not know what that is and would need clarification from you. Also, I can use words in a foreign language, but usually only one word, not an entire sentence as it appears in your drawing. You might want to refer to this link: talossa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=collegeofarms&action=display&thread=6063. Another thing that is helpful is most people put on their CoA something that represents their family, job, hobbies, etc. For example, my own CoA is based upon the CoA of my ancestors, except for the cross pulled to dexter and I added the red scroll to represent knowledge (I'm a teacher). Something like that makes the CoA personal and yet tells a story. Let me know what ideas you have. Thanks.

Sorry I kept trying to write a resposne yesterday but it wouldn't go through, and can you tell me what "restricted charge" means. About the circle, it's a southwestern Native American symbol for the Earth and the Japanese isn't too important so we could use something else, and I don't know if this would help but the fleur-de-lis is from the flag of St. Louis and I would like to include something about California. I love movies, it's a real passion of mine so maybe that could fit in somewhere too.

I love movies, it's a real passion of mine so maybe that could fit in somewhere too. A "restricted charge" is an item that can only used by a specific group of people. Here is a list of some , but there are many more: www.kingdomoftalossa.net/index.cgi?lingo=&page=ArmsPrecedentsWe can attempt to try and find the Circle symbol, but it's really hard if it's never been used before in a previous Heraldic situation. But we have done pretty good so far. I suggest you visit this page: www.kingdomoftalossa.net/index.cgi?lingo=&page=ArmsRulesAnd here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HeraldryThese pages will give you a broad outline of what the rules are. And we can help you determine what you want on your CoA. It's YOUR CoA, we are just here to help you create it. Give us ideas, and we'll see if we can make it work.

Once you have an idea of how you want the arms tinctured and divided, or if you want things like a band across it or a chevron, let me know so I can design an example for you. As for your love of movies, what kind of symbol so you think you would like to use? Maybe if you have a specific movie in mind, we can come up with something that works.
