I am, of course, being a terrible buttinsky with this, but, this province's flag always struck me as, um . . . well, not as bad as Maritiimi-Maxhestic's, but, er, well. So I was playing around with some alternatives. This one uses green and orange and white and the Scandinavian cross, like the current one, but rearranges them into what seems to me to be a more pleasing form (based pretty blatantly on the Iceland flag, to be certain). Gold over Silver is not right I guess... However we can shift the gold a little so that it is half over silver and half over vert (green) Nice one though... in fact the present flag seemed odd to me too... Ben-Ard How's this? We may add some animal/ensign in the top left (canton) or bottom right division... which can be our lesser state symbol too... But the one by Daniel below is better... and since its red over white on a green base, there's no problem of colourings... Attachments:

Heraldry has the color/metal rule; vexillology doesn't. Orange is discouraged by NAVA, yes (it's not one of the NAVA six standard colors, but one of the three alternates mentioned in Good Flag, Bad Flag), but you can find it next to white on such flags as Ireland and India.
I'm not sure where the orange came from.
I know that S:r Txechescu's proposal with red looks just like the unofficial or proposed flag of Småland, Sweden.

I do like that. Seems to refect our attitude better. Now as to how we go about installing this flag.
Do we need to have Ben-Ard present it in the Witt?
Or do we go directly to his majesty?
