At this moment I am neither in favour nor stongly opposed to secret ballot, but I dont like the reasoning here. If the majority party declares every subject that has been discussed before to be a dead horse, I am not surprised there are only few living creatures left here.

Have you gentlemen even bothered to read the arguments over this issue that have occurred over the YEARS since it was first brought up?
Why must you continue to bring the carcass of the "Secret Ballots" back into the streets every 6 months?
There was even a "committee" formed to research the viability, and that went nowhere.
It's not been discussed just once. It's been discussed over, and over again. In legal parlance, the term is "asked and answered".
In the famous words of Dr. Leonard H. McCoy : "It's dead, Jim."
Oh, and the same goes for the "Beauty Pageant" voting concept, too.

I'm sorry, I thought this board was The Ziu. You know, the one that says:

In that I am a member of the Cosa, I was under the impression I could comment on items brought here. Did I miss something?

This is a question, and I am advising the King that this question has been asked and answered in many forums, many, many times.

Mr Speaker,
In answer to the Honourable Gentleman’s questions;
Governments of the past have looked into this issue and indeed past debates of the citizenry of Talossa, (which are all publicly viewable on Witt) have tried to thrash out this issue, all without success. In addition, the previous Government, under the leadership of my Right Honourable Friend, S:reu Davis established a committee to study the feasibility and possibility of establishing such in Talossa and again, despite the efforts of the previous Government, this committee was fruitless and yielded no tangible results. Therefore, in keeping with the old saying, “the key to the future lies in the past” and given that there has been several efforts in bringing secret ballots into Talossa in the past and all have by enlarge failed, this Government will not be seeking to introduce secret ballots for election in the Kingdom of Talossa nor will be establishing committees to investigate the same, as dealing with this issues is and has proven to be futile and we may as soon square the circle! So, in short, no, the Government will not, nor for the foreseeable future be supporting the introduction of a secret ballot for elections in Talossa.
Seeing as Sir Fritz has declined the appointment as Minister of Home Affairs, the Government will be seeking as a matter of top priority to fill this vacant post, preferably with someone in or near the GTA. Until such a appointment, the Ministry of Home Affairs will be managed by myself and any projects for Home Affairs will be worked upon and hopefully we should be posting some results soon. As I have previously said in my response to Sir Fritz on this issue, it is my vision for the new Home Minister and myself to work with Sir Fritz and others in the GTA to try and have some sort of Ad campaign going and to try and work out a feasible, cost effective and doable projects for the GTA that will effectively raise the image of the Kingdom in and around the GTA. If anyone has any ideas they are more than welcome to post them on Witt, email me them or pm me, as the Kingdom of Talossa should be a project which everyone is working on and not just its Government.

I to wish to thank the Seneschal for her response. As a GTA based Talossan I will continue to do my best to serve the Kingdom, especially within its own boarders.
