Azul everyone!
So, I was interested in becoming a teacher in the University of Talossa. Of course, this means posting on the board. Can anyone become a professor/teacher?
The subject I was interested in teaching was Geography, since I am majoring in Geography, and will be graduating in a few months.
Course Name
WORLD AND TALOSSAN GEOGRAPHY
Course Instructor
Bóibet Santa Cjara
B.A Ohio Wesleyan University 2011
GIS Specialization
Course Description
To educate students in the following topics:
- Political Geography
This section would focus on the boundaries of the countries, their capital cities, and any other pertinent information.
- Physical Geography
This section would focus on the physical state of the Earth. Mountain ranges, rivers, oceans, etc. would all be studied in general to give the students an overview.
- Human Geography
This section would focus on the state of the human race in the countries. We would focus on why there are mass immigration across borders, what causes this, why globalization is good/bad, why people do things in certain areas, etc.
- Urban Geography
This section would focus on the urban areas in select countries. How these cities began, what caused/causes growth and decline, and the planning of these cities
Geography is not a boring subject. It depends on how it is taught, and accepted by the students. I do not plan on giving dry lectures on these topics. The students will be involved as much as possible. Online geography games will be completed, contests, and fun projects like creating countries (like our Founder).
Geography is important, as it allows us to visually look at the world, and to interpret what we see. There is no right or wrong answer in geography. It's what you observe, and how you apply it.
