Greetings Benito! As most of you are unaware of, i am running for the Benitian Senate Seat under the RUMP banner! I would like to take this opportunity to greet you all and answer any questions you may have. Be they political, personal, or even about sports, I'd just like to get to know you and let you get to know me!

In my official capacity as Party Leader of the RUMP (who are still thinking up our acronym for this go), I wish to make it known that the RUMP does officially endorse Capitan Taglheir for the Senäts seat of the great Province of Benito.

No questions? Really? Alright, i guess i'll throw some information out there myself, let me think...
I joined the Kingdom in 2008 and have been a Private Adventurer (Privateer, you know... a legal Pirate) for two years. I have also served in the Royal Navy Reserve as a Cunceláin (Petty Officer) when I'm not collecting swag. Not much to tell in the means of politics, and maybe that's a good thing. Still in High School, one more year until i have that diploma and then watch out! So that's me, but were not here to talk about me, were here to talk about you Benito.
I feel as if the Benitian population has become somewhat lax, and i understand. Not everyone can devote all their energy into the kingdom, and that's just fine. But for those of us who are here, or who check in periodically, i feel that Benitio can be more than it is. I'm not saying we need a major reform, just to clean out a few cobwebs and dust off the furniture. But that's not for me to decide, its for you. I'm not here to run the show, I'm here so you can run the show through me. I don't know about all of you, but i cant remember ever talking to our other senators. I welcome private messages, emails, and a post in the Benito provincial boards. If you have a concern, just put it in writing and my feet will fly in a flurry. I'm here to make Benito into what you want it to be.
So when its time for me and Tim to walk out onto the floor, we'll both throw our dice in the Craps game of politics. But it's you who'll decide what our dice will read. But I'd like you to pick the dice with the RUMP stamped on one side, and me on the other.

Let me just say that I wish the good Captain luck in the upcoming election.
We are both willing and able to embrace the will of the people.
Let's look forward to a clean and friendly election!

Hmm...a debate could be interesting, what say you, Petty Officer/Captain? I completely forgot to respond to this, my apologies. I remember looking at this thread and then i was whisked away. A Debate would be just glorious.

If y'all want to have a Debate, I can suggest a moderator.... Sooo, is this debate happening or not? Tim and I have both stated our preference. Lets get the ball rolling shall we?

You epitomize patience, don't you? On another note, you could politely request for somebody to sacrifice their spare time to organize and moderate your debate. Or do the organizing yourself and request a moderator. Apostrophes are fun!

Rereading my former post it seems so belligerent. That was not my intention. A better way to word my previous statement would have been
"With the statements of consent from both Tim and myself, is there anyone that would like to get the ball rolling and volunteer to be a moderator?"
Hey, look at that. My first political face save! Isn't politics grand?

I have sent a request to a disinterested third party who may want to kick a few questions our way.
In the meantime....since neither of us are disinterested, let's just debate something that is of absolutely no interest to our constituents.
I prefer Coca-Cola over Pepsi, except during Passover time when I can obtain Pepsi made with cane sugar while Coke uses other sweeteners (both sodas have to change their formulas so that they can be "Kosher for Passover). And curses be unto anyone who should disagree with me on this pillar!

Well sir, i disagree! Pepsi was in the seat of kings with its 1992 Pepsi Crystal. The same great tasting Pepsi, with the purity of Crystal.
