Senäts Proceedings (41st Session Distinguished Colleagues of the Senate, As our first order of business we must fulfill an Organic Law requirement. Since this is a new session of the Ziu, our first Organically-defined task shall be to select a Mençéi del Senäts (or "Lord President") from among our ranks. This is pursuant to Org.V.8 ("The Senäts shall, after every general election of a senator, choose one of its members to be the President of the Senäts to be called the Mençéi"). The incumbent in this position is Former Senator Alexander Davis. All members of this body are eligible for election to this entirely ceremonial position. The voting will run until 11 days from today, beginning on April 20th and running through April 30th. We will forgo nominations and proceed directly to a vote. Thank you and happy voting. Senäts We will forgo nominations and proceed directly to a vote.
Thank you and happy voting. Might I inquire as why you are doing that? On what authority are you able to dispense with Nominations? I also question why you immediately vote for someone, without seeing if there is anyone else interested, and if Sen Briga is interested, and if everyone is ok with throwing out nominations, and if anyone wants to make a speech and... and.. and... edit : because Hooligan answered part of the question

Thank you and happy voting. Might I inquire as why you are doing that? On what authority are you able to dispense with Nominations? I believe his authority comes from his extremely tight britches. I hereby nominate Senator Sir Briga. Senator "Psycho" Edit: No idea why format isn't working

I know that as I no longer serve in this august body, I have no standing here, but as a member of the gallery who has (if I am not mistaken) counted four of the possible seven votes for the good Sir knight Senator X. Pol Briga, I arise and applaud the election of the Senate's newest Mençei. Three cheers for Lord President Briga.

Thank you for the honor as serving as your Mençei.
As an appropriate first action, I suggest that we stock the bar in our chambers with appropriate representatives of our national monetary standard. I realize that each of us could make literally hundreds of suggestions, however I would like each Senator to limit their suggestions to a total of 7 beers identified by manufacturer, style, and name, an equal to our numbers such that we will compile a list of at most 49 selections in our larder. In fact, if one Senator has selected a specific beer, then the next Senator should select a different one (as that choice will already be available). The 50th beer available would be the one that the Talossan exchange is based upon, that of Miller Genuine Draft (at Sir Fritz')
My selections are (in no particular order)
Extra Stout, Guinness Ltd, Irish Dry Stout Sawtooth Ale, Left Hand Brewing Company, Extra Special / Strong Bitter(ESB) Elsie Irish Cream, Papago Brewing Company, Milk/Sweet Stout Banquet, Coors Brewing Company, American Adjunct Lager Blue Moon Belgian White, Sandlot Brewing Company (part of Coors), Witbier Fat Tire, New Belgium Brewing Company, American Amber / Red Ale
I will reserve my seventh selection until I see some of the others...
