Benetians One and All,
I come before you today to ask for your support in the 2010 Benito Senatorial election. Over the past three years, the seat has become one of much disappointment. I thank Former Senator Casálmac'h for her service to our province, however, I will improve on those areas which I feel she has fallen short in mastering.
The main thing I want to improve on is transparency. By this I mean that I will not only voice my opinion on every bill that hits the floor but also vote for YOUR interests as well. I mean as your senator, my job is to represent you the citizens, not myself. What this means is that from the 21st through the last day of the month, I will hold a meeting in our boards here to discuss all legislation before the Senate in a given month. If you don't like a bill that I voice support for, or vice versa, let me know. We can discuss it in the meeting and depending on the merits of your argument, I very well might change how I vote.
