Azul Adam!
The College will be pleased to assist you to obtain arms. As the Dean of the College, I will assign one of the collegiate Fellows to your case. Expect to hear from him soon -- if you do not, please post again here.

I have been assigned to guide you through this process, S:r Grigoriu.
What you have there in that picture is Lozengy argent and gules, a bordure gules, but I'm not sure you can do that, since the bordure is the same tincture as one of the ones in the middle of the shield, and they'd touch. It's possible that I'm wrong. There may be a black line that goes between the field and the bordure. I will consult with my Fellows in the CoA and get back to you.
Also: Did you want the book to be blazoned "proper," or did you want it to be a specific colour?

As I have no idea what "proper" means, black would be fine for the book, and a black line between the field and the border sounds rather nice too. Thanks for the help, Adam G

"Proper" means it's the colour it would be in real life.
So we're looking at Lozengy argent and gules a book (colour here), a bordure gules fimbriated sable. I'll see if I can get Hool to make a nice li'l picture for you.

What thinkest thou of this, S:r Grigoriu? Lozengy argent and gules a book argent, a bordure gules fimbriated sable I'll point out that this seems to me like an awful lot of red, and it's been suggested that the bordure would look good in azure. Lozengy argent and gules a book argent, a bordure azure Let me know what you think, and we'll get you fixed up. Are you sure you don't want a bonacon? Iustì Canun Odd Fellow of the College of Arms

Looking at a very rough mockup of the bonacon, I have to say (and I know I'm totally losing my mind) I like it!

I know what you mean. If I ever manage to get supporters for my Arms, at least one of them will be a bonacon.
Okay. If we've found the bonacon pioneer, you should let me know. Would you like it instead of the book?

(and I know I'm totally losing my mind) Nonsense! That's just your innate Talossanity showing through.

Yes, I'd love the bonacon instead of the book! I picked the book mostly because of my love of reading.

Has this design been finalized? Is there anything else that must be done? Adam G

The College has not yet rendered your new draft, with a bonacon. We would need to know what tincture (color) you would like the charge (the bonacon) to be. On a gules and argent chequy (red and white checkerboard) background, I am not sure what colour would be a good choice.

What is a ''bonacon''. The translator didn't know this word.
