The Senator of Cézembre, fresh back from a trip to Germany, the Netherlands, and Luxemborg arrives a bit bleary but cognizant to the chambers. Noting that no other senators have started a thread to vote, he does so.
I can see that there is little to discuss on the matters at hand, just one word to the vote will suffice. On the matter 40RZ11 PËR On the matter 40RZ12 CONTRÂ
He then orders a round of ale and places one at the desk of each Senator, hoping for them to be enticed to enter.

As Mencei, I thank the kind Senator from the soon-to-be-incorporated-into-Maritiimi-Maxhestic province for starting the thread for this month.
As to 40RZ11, the Prospective Citizen's Right to Post Act, I vote an unhappy non. Given that this is a pretty clear-cut area of policy for a part of the government, it seems needlessly cumbersome to try to codify it in legislation. We would not even be changing it, but rather slathering it in cement to prevent any changes in the future - even if a new situation arises! Let's not tie our hands.
As to 40RZ12, the Relief from Tyranny Amendment, I join with all good and true Talossans in voting PËR. It is certainly possible that those who vote against this bill are full-blooded human beings and not perfidious rat-people, but it seems to me that the odds are against it. In every way, this bill will redress the terrible suffering of the noble people of our island, delivering them from perdition and into the hands of a noble local administration.
I would like to take this opportunity to make a further announcement. While the good citizens of Maritiimi-Maxhestic have no doubt that the Ziu, in all of its long wisdom and careful thinking, will see the advantages and moral necessity of this bill, and that the King and Seneschal will likewise not dare to stand in the way of a force of righteousness of this calibre, it is nonetheless possible that this bill may not pass. In this event, the province of Maritiimi-Maxhestic will take further and currently unspecified measures to draw attention to the issue and come to the relief of our brethren in Cezembre. We know that all just people will join with us.

On 40RZ11, I shall vote AUSTANÉU, as I agree with my fellow Senator, S:r Davis. However, I must disagree with him on 40RZ12, and I vote CONTRA, partly because I want to see what "further and currently unspecified measures" will entail, and partly because I am a perfidious rat-person (mostly the former). Thank you.

The Senator from the super-safe Province of Atatürk, fresh from a quarterly Safety Stand-around (Safety Stand-down), realized that the Clark is almost over and he hasn't voted yet. He hustles into the Chamber and like a good Atatürkey should, he has a fried turkey leg in each hand. Between mouthfuls, he addresses the Chamber.
My fellow peeps: Happy Friday! Please pardon my tardiness, but where has the month gone? Personally, the first two weeks felt like one big groundhog day (the boat does that to you) and this week has been back to the grind. But now to business!
On the issue of 40RZ11 I vote CONTRÂ. I happen to agree with the existing policy, but personal feelings aside, this law is a bad idea. As it attempts to prohibit a policy, something that can be changed really at any time, I agree with how Senator Davis phrased it: let's not tie our hands.
On the issue of 40RZ12 I vote PËRly CONTRÂ. Amusing, but I'm told that suffering builds character.
I wish everyone a Happy and safe Thanksgiving. Be safe traveling, be safe cooking, and be safe in all your currency exchanges.
The Senator waits for applause, then leaves the Chamber to see what kind of side shows are going on following the Safety presentations at work.

Senators I bring you greetings from the folks in Florencia! Have you seen the mystery afoot in Florencia? You should check it out and see if you can catch it in your fair provinces. On to more pressing matters.
On the matter of 40RZ11 I vote Contra, although a good idea, why heap legislation on a policy change. You want the policy changed? Talk to the government in charge... or replace them.
On the matter of 40RZ12 I vote Contra, the good people of Florencia have been unified in their silence to me in this matter. I find little or no reason to vote in the affirmative on the matter...
Just a reminder to all those in fear of the Talossan economy being tied to the rapidly falling USD. We use beer people. Beer. You can translate that to any economic amount.
