40RZ11 The Prospective Citizen's Right to Post Act: Of course since this is my own bill, and the fact that it is a bill that makes sense, I vote PER. The bill aims to encourage folks to take up charitable acts within our community (thus far it seems to have worked prior to passing, even if some have not taken it seriously) and also aims at protecting citizens from becoming victims of scams and cons through fake charities.

40RZ12 Relief from Tyranny Amendment: This is a plainly silly Act, and I imagine that the Author does not intend for it to pass the legislature. I vote CONTRA.


Confusion over the budget report, terrible and weak attempts at complying with the Government Transparancy Act, only half the cabinet are active and the totally unacceptable fact that this government failed to organize TalossaFest this year, which was an important anniversary to Talossa, all lead me to vote NON on the VOC. I urge others to follow me.

Let me say that I respect those who disagree with legislation when such a disagreement can be discussed in a civil manner. I can, in fact, respect that the Seneschal decided to vote against the Senate Reform II Amendment.

I cannot, however, respect the comments made by the Seneschal in the course of casting his votes which clearly indicate that he never even reviewed the revised legislation (hence Senate Reform Amendment II). That, coupled with the fact that our Prime Minister has been strangely absent from Witt and has avoided accomplishing anything since taking office, I must heartily vote "NON," as I have no confidence whatsoever in this government. I urge my fellow progressives to follow suit, and call upon the members of the RUMP to admit their shortcomings in the current government and bring about early elections.

I would like to formally request that we skip the rest of the voting process for 40RZ12, which will doubtless pass. There's no need to burden the SoS with tallying the votes, and we can just assume it will have enough.

The MC from MM walks in, his eyes drowning in an angry sea of red, wondering if this red text will perhaps a text black hole in the centre of the planet, as he contemplates on how nice it is to finally own Star Trek the movie on Blu-ray. Feeling a bit lonely due to the lack of RUMP members, he never-the-less comes to submit his vote.

My fellow MCs,

The first act posted for our attention is 40RZ11, The Prospective Citizen's Right to Post Act. Now I can understand the sentiment behind this act, and can see why it would be seen as necessary. However, I do not believe that legislation should determine policy. Government policy is, by nature, determined by the government. It is nice and flexible and can change whenever the government wants it to change. Legislation is somewhat less flexible. Therefore, my vote is CONTRA.

The second act for our inspection is 40RZ12, The Relief From Tyranny Amendment. Every reasonable person must lament the state of freedom tyranny that Cezembre finds itself under, and would naturally want to support this act. I know as a red-blooded M-Mer that that was my first instinct. However, this instinct must not prevail. This act simply does not nearly go far enough. If we are to ensure Cezembre's freedom under Maritiimi-Maxhestic, we must allow the military to repress protect it from any attempt at liberation further repression. So with a heavy heart, I vote CONTRA.

Finally, I come to the Vote of Confidence. So far, my fellow MCs in the opposition have been unanimous in voting Non. As they are opposition, it is only natural that they oppose the government, and if they did not, it would not be a functioning democracy. However, the Government also must defend itself. Our dear SoS did so in the Questions to the Executive thread in a quite eloquent fashion which I feel that I cannot meaningfully add to. To cut a long story short, I vote ÜC.

The one known as Lupulet walks out of the Ziu building, hoping to catch a glimpse of his fellow RUMPers, and wondering if the magnificent lengthiness of his vote entitles him to be a Senator...
