Azul my fellow Senätors, please fill your tankards and let us get this session quickly in order for all to know that the Senäts are here to tend to the sheep. Our staff is hooked but our path must be straight, because my brothers and sisters, there are wolves among us.
On the matter of 40RZ1 - The TAIAD Act I urge my fellow Senätors to vote CONTRA on this bill. Although the intent of this bill is very well and good, the fact is that we are diverse as a nation and as a people and can not be simply all put in the same mind regarding the matters of charitable collection and dispersement. Give. Give often, but do it on a personal level do not allow Talossa to needlessly create another government responsibility that the people are doing very well on their own. I vote CONTRA to 40RZ1 and again I urge you to do the same.
On the matter of 40RZ2 - The Gaggle of Substitutes Act this bill again brings (possibly) needless clarification to celebration of the Talossan Spirit. Although I feel this bill is not needed I would not vote against it or for it. Therefore ,I AUSTANEU on 40RZ2.
On the matter of 40RZ3 - The Talossification of Penguins Act This bill appears to be in compliance with existing Talossan law and as it is always good to see glheþ Talossan used in maps, bills, and other ventures. I vote Per on 40RZ3.
On the matter of 40RZ4 - The HCEA Act I urge my fellow senators to strongly review the impact this legislation potentially has on the Kingdom. Again, the intentions are well meaning but the unintended consequences could be damaging to the very heart of our Kingdom. If nothing else this bill needs to be shot down and sent back to the hopper for further discussion. I cannot in good conscience vote for this bill. I vote CONTRA on 40RZ3.
Senätors , we do a good thing to protect our fair Talossa from the wolves without and within. We must be the Defenders that Talossa needs.

There are wolves among us, S:reu Senator? I confess I don't really understand to whom you refer - which Talossans are the ones you want to protect Talossa from? Or do you mean non-citizens? Metaphors are not my thing, alas.
As to the TAIAD Act, I vote a very reluctant contra. While I was a co-sponsor of similar legislation, that legislation would have guided and encouraged, rather than doing what this law attempts to do: force charity into existence.
As to the Gaggle of Substitutes Act, I vote a reluctant per. I fear, though, the trend of further "substituting" for traditional Talossan-area items.
As to the Talossification of the Penguins Act, I vote an enthusiastic per, and will roundly mock anyone who does not do the same.
As to the HCEA Act, I vote per. It seems to be a good bill, to protect the people, and I see little reason to vote against it merely because it is effective and powerful.

40RZ1 - PËR on TIAID - I don't accept the argument that this is good but we should not do it because we are not all supporting the same causes. It is important that the realm be recognized in the community of nations as having charitable activity as a nation, not just as individuals.
40RZ2 - CONTRA on Substitutes - Do we substitute the replica of La Tour Eiffel that happends to be in Las Vegas for the real thing? Perhaps the lack of a Taco Bell in one's vicinity is sufficient cause for a pilgrimage to lands where they have been fruitful and multiplied. Sometimes it is important to make sacrifices in search of a beancicle (my term for a cooled off bean burrito). For those less fortunate, perhaps the TIAID can distribute packets of fire sauce.
40RZ3 - PËR on Penguinficationtalossanicity
40RZ4 - PËR on HCEA - clearer definition of the rights, responsiblities, and relationship between the realm and anyone accused of crimes against it.

40RZ1 - The TAIAD Act - CONTRA Alas, there is the matter of agreeing upon to whom we will give this charity money. So I (reluctantly) vote against it.
40RZ2 - The Gaggle of Substitutes Act - AUSTANÉU I feel that this is a somewhat good idea, but I also agree with Senator Briga's statement about the Eiffel Tower. Taco Bell has historical significance not just because of Americanized Mexican food, but because it was one of the first restaurants to offer free refills.
40RZ3 - The Talossification of the Penguins Act - PER With this, all cantons of the Kingdom may be referred to in el Glheþ. (Plus, I'm the one who submitted it, so I should at least for for it.)
40RZ4 - The HCEA - PER Yes, yes, rights of the accused, trials, crimes, statutes, and so forth.
And with that, the Senator wanders back whence he came, to continue his Seneschal-ing.

The Senator from the most-excellent province of Atatürk, fresh off his duty as the AM duty HAC, enters the Chamber and heads straight to the bar to wet his whistle and get his voting and thinking juices flowing.
Good evening, fellow Senators! ...
I can't think of anything smart allecky or witty to say at the moment, so I'll just cast my votes and continue drinking.
On the issue of 40RZ1 my position remains unchanged from the previous I-don't-remember-how-many times this bill has been Clarked. Keep it out of the government, do it as a private endeavor. I (again) vote CONTRÂ.
40RZ2 made me think for a while. Initially, I thought it was a good idea since I generally prefer the other Tex-Mex restaurants listed to Taco Bell. But then it was pointed out that Taco Bell is not the national cuisine because it's Tex-Mex, it gained the status because it was the first GTA restaurant to offer free refills. In the interest of preserving the unique cultural status of Taco Bell, I vote CONTRÂ.
40RZ3 = no brainer. I vote PËR!
40RZ4. What to say. This is the most serious bill on the whole Clark. It was also Hoppered for a whopping 5 days, barely enough time to read and think about it, much less comment or refine it. I understand that it was on the heels of the General Election and time was short. But it could have (should have?) been held off until the September Clark too. Fortunately 5 days appeared to be enough time for this to become a decent piece of legislation. I vote PËR.
The Senator from the most-bitchin province of Atatürk finishes his stein, leaves the podium and heads back to the bar for a refill. His Senats chores complete, he then proceeds to work on his household chores.

On 40RZ1 The TAIAD Act, I vote CONTRÂ, for more or less the same reasons as before.
On 40RZ2 The Gaggle of Substitutes Act, I vote CONTRÂ. What is the point of having an official one if we have so many substitutes? It makes the whole idea rather silly, but in a pointless, non-Talossan sort of way.
On 40RZ3 The Talossification of Penguins Act, although I still have regrets about the use of new spelling, especially in names, the idea is good and so I reluctantly vote PËR.
On 40RZ4 The HCEA Act, AUSTANEU.
