It so pleases your Majesty, I, Ieremiah Ventrutx, Seneschal and head of his Majesty's Government, recommend that the Government would be well-served by Cjara Brainerd, acting in the role of Minister of Finance within the Prime Ministry. I thank you for this good subject's expeditious appointment on this day the 21st of February, 2009.
Cjara Brainerd has expressed a desire to complete the many tasks that the former Minister of Finance has let fall over the past two governments. As a new citizen in 2007, one of Cjara Brainerd expressed desires was to become Minister of Finance, now is her time to shine. I have faith that Cjara Brainerd will complete the existing projects as Minister of Finance and bring proper perspective and focus to the budget and other requirements of the position of Minister of Finance. Cjara Brainerd's loyalty to the King and the Kingdom are without question.
It is with great pleasure I have nominated and the King has approved, Cjara Brainerd to the cabinet for our Kingdom.
I am looking forward to working with Cjara Brainerdunder my continued duties as Seneschal.

JP,
If he was so bad perhaps you should have dismissed him. Appointing a new minister is not the proper time to slam the previous one.

Sorry my words were not my thoughts... it was not intended as a slam. I am, however, looking forward to getting things taken care of that have been hanging out there for way to long. Cjara, I was not looking to taint your appointment in any way.

I have been in close a touch with the Prime Minister as anyone, I would think, and I just wanted to say here that from my knowledge of his mind, he did not intend any slam on anyone, and I'm sorry that he was misunderstood that way. I know he only meant to help give his current Minister a plan of action.

No he didn't I've seen his work and he has worked hard. Don't cry to us and stop lying. Thanks for your support, Flip. You are more than right. When I left office, I had given the PM everything he needed to put the project into practice months before. JP told me he would take care of the rest (getting the stamps printed and coins minted), which he hasn't accomplished so far due to (as he said) being too busy at work. Anyway, I did what I'd been asked to do.

Cjara Brainerd has expressed a desire to complete the many tasks that the former Minister of Finance has let fall over the past two governments. And the New York Post didn't intend for their cartoon to offend. Intent, while important, takes a backseat to a pretty direct slap. JP made his apology, we all say the wrong thing some times. Let's just leave it there and move along happily. We need progress, not apologetics.
