...not that the last few months have been enjoyable either, but....
This is not why I joined Talossa. I joined Talossa because I was intrigued by the language, because the people were vibrant, and because I thought I could make some musical contributions to it.
However, I have not had ONE positive experience in politics, save being sworn in. All I have been occupied with lately is trying to keep people from leaving, and to at least bandage the wounds that were created over the last few months.
That is crap. And I literally and figuratively cannot take it anymore. Which is why I am resigning my MN membership, and will not accept the PMship for this next Ziu. There are still many things that I like about Talossa, which is why I'm staying here.
It has hurt me deeply that so many people have had such little confidence in me. I have been conspired against by members of my own cabinet. I have been used for an agenda other than my own by many. No more. The more I have thought about it, the more I have realized I cannot carry the burden that has been left to me.
I'm not asking for sympathy, and I don't want any. I'm simply stating that I will not have anything to do with politics from now on. I am burned out.
I will still support civil and social reform, but I will not do it in the arena of politics. I am not the one to lead that charge. I will be happy to get the next government up to speed, but that is the extent to which I will be involved.
I am very sad that it ever came down to this the last few months, but it has, and I have contributed to it. For me to stay here, I have to do what I am doing. I hope the worst thing that will be said about my PMship is that I was Talossa's Jimmy Carter.
Signing off as your PM,
