The Talossan Message Board Act of 2008 / DPD
WHEREAS the Government of Talossa needs a method of communicating with it's citizens, and it's officials, the following act is hereby proposed;
1. The Government of Talossa shall register a domain to point to the current board, with a simpler domain address, and therefor;
2. The DPD / PDP party will at it's own cost register such a domain, for example "talossan-board.net", which will point to the current proboards32.net board.
THEREFORE be it resolved by the Ziu of the Kingdom of Talossa that
1. That this act shall pass.

Why not just point a directory of KoT.net to this board, such as KingdomOfTalossa.net/Witt?

This sounds like a fine bill to me. I only suggest that you clean it up a little bit. I would suggest:
WHEREAS the Government of Talossa needs a method of communicating with it's citizens, and it's officials, the following act is hereby proposed, and
WHEREAS it would look more official if we had a domain name, now
THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED THAT:
1. The Government of Talossa shall register a domain to point to the current board, with a simpler domain address, and therefor;
2. The DPD / PDP party will at it's own cost register such a domain, for example "talossan-board.net", which will point to the current proboards32.net boar

You cannot force a party to spend money to register a domain at its own cost through legislation. Even though you're the party leader, it would set a very bad precedent.

I agree with Senator Davis. If the DPD wants to register a domain name, I'd suggest the party leader contact His Majesty's government and simply make the offer. It cannot be legislated otherwise nothing would prevent me from proposing a bill that makes the PP foot the bill.
And that just isn't nice.

... Even though you're the party leader, it would set a very bad precedent. I agree with Senator Davis on this. But S:reu Weckstrom is right about the difficulty of access for new citizens or guests who are not used to our website. Our home page is complicated and the key things (Org Law, Witt, language, existing laws etc) should be highlighted and easily seen. But I don't see the need for bills to regulate every small detail of Talossan life, though. Our competent web designers could easily find a solution avoiding too much red tape.

Kinda jumped the gun there , didn't you ? You just made this bill moot. Nope - In my opinion the shall still pass - but for my own convenience, it is easier to find the Board, for example when overseas...

Why not just point a directory of KoT.net to this board, such as KingdomOfTalossa.net/Witt? This is a great idea. Can it be done? JP, if it can't be done with KoT.net, can it be done with KoT.com? I'm not entirely comfortable with having a single political party register the domain for something of such importance to the whole nation as Wittenberg. Witt should be above partisan politics.

Talossan law and Talossan language are two of the top-level sections on the menu bar that appears on every page on KoT.net. A link to Wittenberg also appears in red on the top of every page.

Tony, you've already done what you wanted the bill to do.
Why pass something that you've already done on your own?
That's like me submitting a bill to name myself "Mick Preston".
There is no longer any need for this bill to become law.
And what if you submit it, and it gets voted down? Are you going to un-register the Domain?
