Following the lead of M-M Vuode must too pick a sandwich to represent us in Talossafest (and in general) As a citizen of Vuode I hereby nominate "Pastrami on Rye." Any other nominations should be posted below.

I am not a Vuodian, but might I suggest you offer some reasoning for your choice? I know you mentioned Jewishness, but how does that fit in with Vuode?

Ah... an excellent question S:reu Davis, and one best summarized by the theory of six (or less) degrees of seperation
1. Vuode was the first province, that originated in King Robert I's bedroom. Vuode also means, "bed" in Finnish 2. Finnish, being the national language of the republic of Finland, naturally ties into the cuisine of finland, considering food influence language, quite a bit. 3. Finnish cuisine features a dish called, "Mykyrokka" which is a type of soup including dumplings made from blood (myky) 4. Blood is a specialized biological fluid consisting of red blood cells (also called RBCs or erythrocytes), white blood cells (also called leukocytes) and platelets (also called thrombocytes) suspended in a complex fluid medium known as blood plasma. Which is only found in animals. 5. Animals are generally used by the human population as food, including cows, which are usually made into various salt-cured meats. 6. One type of salt-cured meat is pastrami which is generally made (for the benefit of the population) into pastrami on rye sandwhiches
