l’Üniversità Talossán has a new publication - that of a 11x17 map of the Greater Talossan area including all streets and major Cestoûr landmarks. This is a living document that can be edited with suggested additional landmarks as identified by Citzens of the Kingdom - please add those notes in this thread, with the name of the landmark and the address or other location information. The provinces are not defined on this map - in part because I need to reconstruct them from the 1990 US Census Block Group Boundaries, and in part because there are proposals floating around to rename some of the provinces. A Portable document format file of the Greater Talossan Area can now be found at starship.python.net/crew/manus/talossa/realm/TalossaGTA.pdfI have also placed the previously published Demographic information (along with a simple map) at starship.python.net/crew/manus/talossa/realm/GreaterTalossanAreaStats.zipFor those attempting to contact www.cezembre.org and/or the University website there, there is a temporary problem with the communications to that server.

I put together a rough outline of the Kingdom's borders using Google Earth and saved it as a 'Path.' If the University would like to host the file just let me know and I will email it to you.
I used the map to get the exact boundaries.
Its a pretty neat tool and I would love to share!

Bleic'h,
That map is really cool. I finally got my Google Earth to work. Thanks for sending it to me.
I know I'm not an official citizen, but I would recommend that the file get put on the site permanently on the "realm" page. It is very unique and allows people to explore the area as they wish; dynamic viewing is always a plus on any website. Perhaps people could tag the places within the area where historical events have taken place. How awesome would it be to click on say, "King Robert I's Birthday" and see where it is required that the fireworks be displayed, etc.? Google Earth is a free program. Of course, a link to download it would also be necessary, but not hard, I suppose. Just some thoughts!

I hope to have the same functionality with this tool, which is a superset of Google Earth functionality and also free to use: www.esri.com/software/arcgis/explorer/index.htmlIt will accept KML files generated by Google Earth, but has somewhat better imagery included, as well as other links to demographic content. For general 2d mapping, which can be run in flash and does not require the codebase of ArcGIS Explorer or Google Earth - this is also available www.arcwebservices.com/awxXPB
