Senäts Resolution Regarding the Bar

With grateful thanks for his service, the resignation of the Chancellor of the Bar is now reflected on the Webpage listing the Officers of the Royal Household. It is hoped that the Senate will be called back from its recess, perhaps even before the next Cosâ is seated, and take up the matter of recommending a replacement Chancellor to the King.

Now we must turn to the task of picking a new Chancellor. It would be lovely if we could do this in short order, actually.

After reviewing the relevant law (links follow post), it seems to me that only a member of the Bar can be Chancellor. With no current members, we cannot nominate a successor. Statutory law (32RZ12) provides that without a Chancellor, the Uppermost Cort will serve as Chancellor and accordingly be capable of administering the exam.

I hereby and therefore ask the Mencei to reconvene this body so that I may make a motion in which the Senats might ask the Cort to hold a bar exam.

Dear Lt. Senator Davis -

This prompts an interesting Organic Law question. Let me get some advice, and check a few precedents before we proceed.
