My fellow Senators - I rise to put before this august body a motion to nominate Ián Lord von Metáiriâ to the role of Lord President of the Senäts. A decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that I should declare the reasons which impel me to the nomination. We hold this truth to be self-evident: that Duke Ián has been a part of Talossa since the birth of our nation. Our country, our King and our people have prospered by his wisdom. I would read this man's credentials, but I do not wish this speech to be mistaken for a filibuster. To put it plain - this guy is good. Now some of my colleagues may wish to recognize the many interesting graffiti that have appeared on the back walls of this chamber, and on other buildings around the Kingdom. Some ascribe this to mere malice; others suggest a guerrilla marketing campaign; still others believe it is a sign from God. I suggest that it is the will of our people, write large where even a tipsy senator can read it. My fellow senators, will you join me in selecting the good Duke to preside over this distinguished house? I suggest we make it unanimous. I yield, Sir Trotxâ Betiñéir, Vuode

I immediately and enthusiastically concur. The Duke's experience and wisdom will be invaluable in this pivotal role. I would also like to compliment the Vuodian Senator's speech on the matter, which reminds me strongly of something I can't put my finger on (perhaps a Mazda commercial).

Thank you to the senator from Maritiimi-Maxhestic for the Second, and to the senator from Mussolini for the Third.
Before we vote, this chamber should hear from the nominee.
Sir T, Vuode.
