My Lord President, esteemed Senators, members of the Cosâ, friends:
I am the Senator from Florenciâ, and also the holder of 21 seats in the Cosâ. As most of you will remember from past discussions, it has long been my opinion and that of my party, the CLP, that it is an anomaly, and should be avoided if possible, for a person to serve simultaneously in the Cosâ and the Senäts. In my judgment, our population has now increased to the happy point where such dual membership is no longer convenient or necessary, and I am pleased, therefore, hereby to resign my 21 seats in the Cosâ. I am confident that the leader of the CLP — our esteemed and beloved Seneschál himself — will be able to find capable and enthusiastic Talossan citizens to whom to reassign these seats. Thank you!
— John Woolley, Senator

Lord President and my fellow Senators, I rise in response to the announcement recently made by my esteemed colleague representing Florenciâ.
I am pleased to see my colleague and friend following my lead in resigning from the Cosâ so that he may concentrate his legislative efforts on representing the province for which he sits here in the Senäts.
Hurrah for Sir John!
I yield the floor.

Order, Order.
As Speaker of the Cosâ, let me congratulate Sir John in his exemplary display of nobility. It is a great show of said nobility when you sacrifice power for your ideals. Let the house take time now to offer what support of this display they may Stands and applauds

John only exemplifies the standards set by the CLP and leads by example. The former Prime Minister before me stated that it wouldn't be possible to find enough people to hold the many varied offices and thus one had to hold many. He was mistaken. We are a healthy and growing Kingdom made up of different parties that are all dedicated to a bigger and better Talossa.
