I noticed we don't have a FAQ for the forum. I know one question I've had for a while - how do you do circumflex, accents, etc.? I'm sure this and other questions will come up frequently.

A FAQ page would just make things a lot harder for us to keep up with questions. You post a question and what keep waiting to get your answer from other people, who do know the answer.

I can see the merit to a FAQ page. I am operating on the assumption that the Kingdom will GROW. It is a killer concept and the execution appears to be splendidly done so why shouldn't everyone want to apply for citizenship? I am confident that I had questions about the site, the structure, the lingo etc... that others have had. FAQ might be able to field some of the recurring questions and achieve one or two possible goals.
The first being retain prospective, productive citizens who can't get their questions answered and or dint have the time to explore the site in detail. (I say this in relation to the "Google Impulse Click"... this looks cool, I will check it out, oh I don't get what is going on here, next click...)
The second goal FAQ might be able to fulfill is to prevent the frequent questions that might pop up in random threads say like, Witt or *shudder* the Ziu. A new explorer to the Kingdom could essentially learn more by having a single source for basic information while simultaneously not "cluttering" other threads.
An example question I have: How does one apply the accents and inflections to the Talossan words? I would like to be capable of rendering the language as it was intended and I am not accent savvy. Frequently asked questions could easily field this one for me.
Just a thought.

I also have tons of questions, but I don't want to look like an idiot and ask everyone a million questions. But when are the elections for Ziu and what are the requirements?

There's a lot of information on the website about elections, at Talossan Politics > Elections. Assuming the Government survives Votes of Confidence in March, April, and May, which is a good bet, the general election will be held from June 15 to July 14 this year, and the 36th Cosâ should begin on August 1.
Since the Cosâ comprises 200 seats, and we have far fewer than 200 citizens, anyone who wants to be in the Cosâ can get in pretty easily. Join a political party, or start one yourself, and you too can be a member of the legislature!

Yes, I plan to if i'm granted citizenship. Hope i'm not counting the chickens before they hatch lol. I'll probably end up being denied ha. That would suck. But anyway, I read this one post where you denied this guy... Was he inactive or something? Can someone run Independent? I will probably join a political party, I was just curious. I've been reading alot on the website and it's all very interesting. I read that election section just a few minutes ago...interesting. Well, as far as an FAQ is concerned, maybe they can come in handy in the future when people get tired of answering the same questions over and over again.. They'll just be like "read the FAQ!!"

In the general election, your Cosâ vote is cast for a political party, and only political parties can appoint Members of the Cosâ; so the first answer is No, you can't run for the Cosâ as an Independent. On the other hand, there's a venerable tradition in Talossa of very small political parties (like, one person); the drawback to running your own one-man party is that there's a uniform $20 registration fee for each party. If that's a problem for you, you'd do better to join (or organize) a party and get your Cosâ seats that way.

But anyway, I read this one post where you denied this guy... Was he inactive or something? If you're talking about the case in the Cort forum, here's what happened - the guy was a Talossan citizen a long time ago, and lost his citizenship through inactivity (you can lose your citizenship if you let three consecutive elections go by without voting in any of them). Some time ago he asked for his citizenship to be reinstated, which requires approval of the Cort. By the time the Cort got around to considering his request a couple months later, no one had heard anything more from him. So the Cort decided to deny his request and let him petition again if he was still interested in being a Talossan.

How is King Louis I related to King Robert I? What is the former King Robert I doing these days? Is his whole family involved in Talossa? How old is King Louis I?
