My name is Vince Whitacre.
If it so please the Squirrel King of Arms, I request the assistance of the College in designing and obtaining arms for myself and my lawful heirs.
My favourite colour is chrome... no, wait, corduroy. Oh, those aren't colours. Never mind, let's just say green.
I think azure, a bend sinister argent between a martlet close or and a sheaf of arrows or would make a neat coat of arms. I'd like that.

Oh, those aren't colours. Right, in heraldry we call them tinctures. No wait, they aren't them, either. Not bad! Sounds like you've been thinking about this. No green, though? Bartleby Pursuivant

May it please the Squirrel King of Arms and his esteemed collegiate Fellows -- Below please find a draft emblazon for the blazon proposed by S:reu Vincent Whitacre in his request for arms. The blazon for this proposed achievement of arms would be: Azür ün band sinistrà ërxhënt tëschënt ünâ meriulâ closadâ és ün gräps dals fieschâs or. Rock on, Columcille

I must agree with S:reu Tzaracompradâ. ¡Qué Linda! Great work esteemed college! It seems that another has come to rival the beauty of my own arms.

May I make a slight suggestion, and it's only a slight one? It looks to me as if this quite lovely device might be improved by a little rearrangement. The bird is oriented sort of diagonally (dexter chief to sinister base), and the sheaf of arrows is more-or-less a round charge. So ... the sheaf might fit better (and could be drawn bigger!) in the upper compartment of the shield, and the martlet fit better in the lower compartment if he were turned around to face to sinister, or if the bend were a bend rather than a bend sinister.
So maybe consider either Azure a bend argent between a sheaf of arrows and a martlet or, or Azure a bend sinister argent between a sheaf of arrows and a martlet contorny or.
But if you don't want to change anything, you certainly don't have to; it's quite nice just as it is.

Thank you for the suggestion, Your Majesty. I personally prefer it as is. I always envisioned my martlet on top.

O Great Squirrel King, College Faculty, and S:reu Whitacre -- Taking into account the comments of The Artist Formerly Known As Blanc Wolf Herald (concerning the fact that the martlet if reoriented to face to sinister would fit well with the geometry of the proposed achievement of arms), and those of the petitioner (stating that he does wish to keep the martlet as the charge above the bend, rather than below), I have produced two further drafts for comment, shown below. In the draft on the left, the martlet has been given a new attitude (contourney). The draft on the right is simply the mirror image of the other, where the martlet remains in its original default attitude, and the bend sinister has been made a normal bend. In both cases, this has allowed for the charge to be slightly enlarged to more fully fill the upper compartment. Xanadu, Columcille Azür ün band sinistrà ërxhënt tëschënt ünâ meriulâ closadâ torniadâ és ün gräps dals fieschâs or. | Azür ün band ërxhënt tëschënt ünâ meriulâ closadâ és ün gräps dals fieschâs or. |
