To the College of Arms,
after I had succesfully completed the application process for the request for Arms, it somehow got lost on the info super highway of the internet???
In any case, could you please make it a priority at this point, as I am soon about to open the Kingdom's official Embassy website in the Republic of Finland.
Kind regards,
Tony Weckström

Azul Tony! I remember your request, but it seems to have disappeared. Do you remember what you said you wanted? Favorite colours and any other ideas you had? The next honours list is scheduled for 24 August so with any luck we'll be able to get something done in time for that.

Azul S:reu Weckström - As your Squirrel King at Arms, I stand by my previous remarks that the Royal Talossan College of Arms is ready, willing and able to assist you with your achievement. You should have received at least three e-mails from me with instructions on the next steps. I have seen messages from at least two other members of the College asking you about your intentions. As far as I know, this posting is the first response from you since you deleted your original request. As you know, the College of Arms is known for standing on ceremony and precedent. We must ask you to post a legitimate request in the College-approved standard and proper form. With great regards, we remain your obedient servants, -- Jaune Sabre Herald, Squirrel King at Arms

My name is Tony Weckström, Ambassador to the Republic of Finland.
If it so please the Squirrel King of Arms, I request the assistance of the College in designing and obtaining arms for myself and my lawful heirs.
My favourite colours are: red, blue, white and black. I would prefer to have some sort of lion, or other animal, such as a cougar, or a unicorn on the arms.Azul S:reu Weckström - As your Squirrel King at Arms, I stand by my previous remarks that the Royal Talossan College of Arms is ready, willing and able to assist you with your achievement. I'm pleased to see that That Irish Fellow is already offering suggestions on your arms. The good news is that cougars and unicorns are rare in Talossan heraldry. One outstanding concern with the arms of Finland is a potential conflict with the achievement bourne by Regent Emeritus Dr. Gregory M. Rajala: Sable, in pale a bison rangant contorny or and an arm armoured embowed argent maintaining a sword proper, and upon a bordure argent nine roses azure.
We look forward to assisting you with your arms. With great regards, we remain your obedient servants, -- Jaune Sabre Herald, Squirrel King at Arms

Does not need to reflect Finland in any way, except perhaps for a blue cross, on a white background (as the finnish flag), but more like a plus "+" sign, than a 'christian'-cross.

So, what we have so far is a blue cross on a white background.
As for the beast, might I suggest a "lion passant guardant" or "lion sejant erect" ?
Those both are typically reflective of the leopard (since finding a cougar in Finland is really, really hard). You'd have to pick a quadrant for the placement.
How's that for a start?

In Finland we can find the animal called LYNX, so perhaps a lynx sejant erect, and some kind of swords across, while the blue plus sign "+" would be in the middle... S:reu Weckström - We of the College must assume that you are referring to this: Lynx lynx Westland Lynx Both seem to be found in Finland.

This could be an interesting design. The lynx was also known as the deer-wolf (although of course it's not related to true wolves at all), the lucern (a term also used to describe its fur), or the lyzard (double the caveat for deer-wolf).

Yes, it's very interesting - but now to the actual making of the Arms? I have very little experience in making such a picture - unless there are some ready templates to work with... The College of Arms will handle the actual creation of the Arms for you. The College has been discussing a number of different arrangements of the various charges for your achievement, and the Odd Fellow should be contacting you with some ideas and feedback, looking for your further input to help guide the College.
