Could all the Party Leaders contact me with a list of the Candidates they intend to present for the Elections to the Senate Seats?
The sooner, the better... but definitely before the 10th.

The RUMP has published its endorsements on the Parties page of the Website. The RUMP proudly endorses Sir Trotxâ Beteñéir to be returned to represent Vuode, and supports the candidacy of Bradley Holmes for the Senate seat for the great province of Atatürk.

Which Province (Ataturk or Vuode) are you wanting to be the Senator for?
(oh, and I need to point out the the 50 word Political platform is 50 words MAXIMUM....)

Both are of course distinquished, but I would at this time wish to run for VUODE Province... On the 50 word political platform, I assumed it was a minimum - so is it ok as it is, or do I need to edit it more - the actual size would have been many hundred words... Which Province (Ataturk or Vuode) are you wanting to be the Senator for? (oh, and I need to point out the the 50 word Political platform is 5 words MAXIMUM....)

Ambassador Wekstrom, could you expound a bit more on your new party's intentions and platform? I know this is brand new, so if not, that is entirely reasonable. But as a citizen of Cezembre running for Senate in Vuode against a Vuodian, I am curious what your policies will be to justify this.

But as a citizen of Cezembre running for Senate in Vuode against a Vuodian, I am curious what your policies will be to justify this. This raises an important legal issue, in fact. Article V, Section 4 of the OrgLaw says: Senators shall as far as is practicable be citizens of the Province in which they were chosen. Qualified citizen from other provinces may receive votes in an election only if no votes have been received on the sixteenth day of the election period. Essentially, no votes for a candidate who is not a citizen of the province in question can be counted unless no one votes for any candidate who IS a citizen of that province until the election is half over.

That's how Lord Hool became the Vuodian senator, right? No idea, actually. I assume so, it's not unheard of... right now Nic Casalmach is the Senator for Mussolini, for example, since no one from that province stepped up.

My own entry into the Senate, representing a province other than that which I am citizen of, was actually by appointment to a vacated seat, not by election. At that time, Organic Law required that a citizen must have two years of citizenship before he or she is eligible to sit in the Senate, unless the person be a peer. Thus, since no non-Senator in the Kingdom (this was right after King Robert I abdicated), including myself, had two years citizenship, and since a Senator was needed for a quorum in that chamber, the royal authority conferred my barony upon me, making me immediately eligible to help the nation out in its short-handed Senate.
I say this so that the Kingdom is well-aware that although my humble activities on behalf of this nation were kindly cited in my writ of peerage, the fact of the matter is that my barony was awarded more to help resolve a national crisis than to reward me for my efforts. In point of fact, the other peers of our realm should be (and are) more highly regarded for their many more years of Talossanity and their services and dedication to this nation.
That said, I will forever be proud to be, Baron Hooligan
P.S. As everyone knows, an amendment to Organic Law, shortening the citizenship requirement for a Senator from two years to one, and also making it possible for those who have not yet reached one year of citizenship to be elected or appointed and serve as non-voting Senators until they reach eligibility, was passed in the 35th Cosâ, and ratified by the electorate, so it is now the law of the land.
